20200046163 · 2020-02-13 ·

A pellet grill includes a ceramic oven body and a ceramic inner liner. The oven body includes a first through-hole in its side. A conduit is inserted through the first through-hole into the oven body. A firepot is removably coupled to the conduit toward an end of the conduit that is within the oven body. The inner liner conforms to a shape of, and fits to a portion of, an oven body inner wall. The inner liner covers the conduit and includes a second through-hole aligned with the firepot. A bulge in the inner liner conforms to a shape of the conduit within the ceramic oven body and may protect the conduit from cooking debris and from heat, rising from a flame in the firepot, that circulates within a portion of the oven body that is above the inner liner. The firepot receives fuel and air via the conduit.

A multi-fuel grill apparatus comprising a burner, a burner cover positioned over and spaced from the burner, a solid fuel tray and/or a firebox basin. The burner cover may comprise a lower flame deflector having opposite, downwardly-extending first angled walls linked at a substantially centered cover angled wall joint and/or an upper debris deflector having a top wall and opposite, downwardly-extending deflector angled walls. The solid fuel tray may comprise opposite tray angled side walls configured to seat on the deflector angled walls so as to selectively suspend the tray between two burner covers. The firebox basin may have an upwardly-extending protrusion having opposite basin angled walls linked at a basin angled wall joint substantially vertically aligned with one or more of the burner and the cover angled wall joint. A vent may be formed in the front panel of the grill body adjacent to one or more controls for communicating with the firebox basin.

IGNITION-BASED PROTOCOLS FOR PELLET GRILLS

Pellet grills including a control system that implements, manages, and/or controls various ignition-based protocols are disclosed. An example pellet grill includes a cooking chamber, a burn pot, an ignitor, and a controller. The ignitor extends into the burn pot and is configured to ignite pellet fuel located within the burn pot. The controller is configured to detect a temperature pattern of the cooking chamber corresponding to a flame out condition of the burn pot. The controller is further configured, in response to detecting the temperature pattern, to command the ignitor to activate during a first duration. The controller is further configured to determine, following expiration of the first duration, whether a temperature of the cooking chamber increased during the first duration. The controller is further configured, in response to determining that the temperature has not increased during the first duration, to command the ignitor to activate during a second duration.

Dual-fuel source cooking devices

A cooking device includes a housing assembly, a first heat source, a second heat source, a first heat control system, and a second heat control system. The housing assembly defines two cooking volumes adjacent to one another. A first cooking volume has a first portion of the cooking structure and a second cooking volume has a second portion of the cooking structure. The first heat source is disposed in the first cooking volume and provides thermal energy directly to the first portion of the cooking structure. The second heat source is disposed in the second cooking volume and occluded from the second portion of the cooking structure to provide thermal energy indirectly to the second portion of the cooking structure. The cooking volumes operate independently and cooperatively to allow for selective cooking of a foodstuff on the first portion of the cooking structure or the second cooking structure with both direct thermal energy from the first heat source and indirect thermal energy from the second heat source.

Mobile Pellet fueled Variable Frequency Barbecue Oven, Electric Cabinet Assembly and Control Circuit Thereof
20190298107 · 2019-10-03 ·

The invention discloses a mobile pellet fueled variable frequency barbecue oven as well as an electric cabinet assembly and a control circuit thereof, and relates to the field of vehicle-mounted barbecue ovens. The mobile pellet fueled variable frequency barbecue oven includes a chassis assembly, wherein the chassis assembly is connected with an automobile; a cabinet arranged above the chassis assembly, wherein the cabinet consists of a lower cabinet and a fuel tank assembly which are arranged oppositely, and is provided with a barbecue oven cavity for accommodating a food grate; and an electric cabinet assembly, wherein both sides of the electric cabinet assembly are electrically connected with the cabinet and the automobile power supply respectively to provide working power for the barbecue oven and control stable power supply of the barbecue oven. The mobile pellet fueled variable frequency barbecue oven as well as the electric cabinet assembly and the control circuit thereof replace a power supply assembly and a circuit of a traditional vehicle-mounted electric barbecue oven through a low voltage actuator, thus realizing low power operation of the vehicle-mounted barbecue oven, realizing normal work during movement of the vehicle, broadening the applicable scenarios of the vehicle-mounted barbecue oven, and being more suitable for actual use requirements.
