DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR AN OVEN APPLIANCE
A door assembly (6) for selectively providing access to, or closing, an oven cavity (5) of an oven appliance, the door assembly comprising: an outer pane element (9) comprising an at least partially transparent region; an inner pane element (10) spaced apart from the outer pane element comprising an at least partially transparent region; optionally one or more center pane elements (11, 12) located between the outer pane element and the inner pane element and comprising an at least partially transparent region; and a camera assembly (7) comprising an optical sensor (38) for obtaining image data from within the oven cavity; characterized in that the door assembly (6) further comprises: an aperture (25) which is provided in one of the pane elements (9, 10, 11, 12) and which accommodates the camera assembly (7).
Rapid Cook Broiler with Movable Heat Shields for Improved Temperature Control
A rapid cook finish broiler with programmable, movable heat shields that open at the beginning of a cook cycle and close after a set period of time blocking much of the heat from heating elements from reaching food disposed below, enabling users to keep the heat source at a high setting, and having shelves with adjustable heights and a blower system that provides air flow to distribute and direct hot air onto food product to reduce cooking times.
STEAM OVEN STEAM GENERATOR WITH HEATER CONTROL
A steam cooking system includes a steam cooking chamber and a steam generator plumbed to deliver steam to the steam cooking chamber. The steam generator includes a tank structure providing a heating chamber for holding water, a heater associated with the tank structure for heating water within the heating chamber so as to generate steam, at least one water level sensor associated with the tank, a fill line for selectively adding water to the tank, and a controller configured to control the heater and the fill line. The controller is configured to control a power level of the heater based at least in part upon a water level in the tank as indicated by the at least one water level sensor, so as to increase steam generator temperature prior to water add.
COOKING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A cooking apparatus including a cooking chamber configured to accommodate food, a camera configured to photograph inside of the cooking chamber, a communication interface, a memory configured to store a cooking method, and a processor configured to, based on food being selected, drive the cooking chamber based on a cooking method corresponding to the selected food, control the camera to photograph the food inside the cooking chamber, and control the communication interface to transmit a photographed image of the food to a user terminal device. The processor is configured to, based on a first feedback related to the photographed image being received, provide a plurality of images for selecting additional cooking states for the food to the user terminal device, and based on a second feedback related to the photographed image being received, provide a plurality of menus for analyzing a cause of a cooking state of the food to the user terminal device.
HOME APPLIANCE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
Proposed is a home appliance which allows a reception space defined therein to be seen from the outside through a viewing window without opening a door. In the home appliance, the viewing window is mounted to a door, and when a user knocks on the door, a vibration detection signal corresponding to vibration generated by the user’s knock is processed so as to accurately determine whether there is the vibration by the knock. Moreover, when the vibration generated by the knock is detected, the inside of the reception space is illuminated such that the inside of the reception space can be seen from the outside through the viewing window. Therefore, the user can see the inside of the reception space by a simple movement even without opening the door.
PROBE ASSEMBLY FOR A COOKING APPLIANCE
A probe assembly for a cooking appliance includes an outer case that includes a cap, a body, and retention features that are coupled to each of the cap and the body. A first temperature sensor is operably coupled to the cap of the outer case. A probe is operably coupled to the body of the outer case and is selectively concealed by the cap. A second temperature sensor is operably coupled to the probe. A controller is communicatively coupled to each of the first temperature sensor and the second temperature sensor. The controller is configured to receive a first signal from the first temperature sensor when the cap is directly coupled to the body of the outer case.
Optical quality control methods
Disclosed are cooking methods using inspection systems including: a distance sensor and a digital optical recognition device. The distance sensor detects the position of the food product placed in the cooking device and the digital optical recognition device captures a series of images for the purpose of food product recognition. Once the food product is recognized, the operator is provided with the correct cooking cycle/program for the position and type of food product placed in the cooking device. The methods also ensure that the food product has been properly cooked at the end of the cooking cycle/program. The methods ensure: (1) the food product is correctly recognized; (2) the cooking cycle/program is correctly selected; (3) the correct cooking cycle/program is followed to completion; and (4) the quality of the cooked food product meets expected standards.
Automatic cooking device and method
The present disclosure relates to an artificial intelligence (AI) system for simulating functions, such as recognition and determination, of the human brain by using a machine learning algorithm such as deep learning, and an application thereof. Provided are an automatic cooking device and method for selectively emitting light of different wavelength bands to a food material, identifying the food material by obtaining information about the food material, based on reflected light, and controlling a cooking process of the food material.
SETTING DESIRED BROWNING ON A DOMESTIC COOKING APPLIANCE
In a method for setting a desired degree of browning of food to be cooked, an image from a cooking chamber of a household cooking appliance containing food to be cooked is recorded and the image is displayed on a screen. A user-selectable image measurement region is defined in the displayed image and a desired degree of browning is ascertained for the selected image measurement region.
COOKING APPARATUSES
A cooking apparatus includes a housing defining an internal chamber. The internal chamber includes a cooking portion. The apparatus includes a single cooking container configured and adapted to be removably received in the cooking portion of the internal chamber. The single cooking container defines a cooking volume. The apparatus includes at least two heating elements positioned within the cooking portion of the internal chamber.
