An air purifier capable of adjusting wind directions according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a housing having an air outlet port on one side thereof; an air guide having a front end portion disposed at the center of the air outlet port such that the air outlet port becomes a ring shape and a rear end portion extending in a direction toward the other surface of the housing and coupled to the inside of the housing so as to be rotatable in a direction inclined with respect to the air release direction of the air outlet port; and a rotation-restraining portion for restraining the rotation of the air guide by elastically supporting the air guide on the housing.

A filter assembly for an air conditioner unit includes a filter frame defining a plurality of attachment features for engaging a plurality of mounting features defined on an inlet frame of a cabinet of the air conditioner unit to secure the filter frame over the indoor inlet. A filter screen is attached to the filter frame for filtering a flow of air through the indoor inlet and the filter frame defines a mounting bracket for a secondary air filter.

A single-package air conditioning appliance includes a housing defining an outdoor portion and an indoor portion. An outdoor heat exchanger assembly is disposed in the outdoor portion. The outdoor heat exchanger assembly includes an outdoor heat exchanger and an outdoor fan. An indoor heat exchanger assembly is disposed in the indoor portion. The indoor heat exchanger assembly includes an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor fan. A compressor is in fluid communication with the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger to circulate a refrigerant between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger. The single-package air conditioner unit also includes a make-up air module. The make-up air module extends between the outdoor portion of the housing and an outside of the housing. The make-up air module includes a plurality of make-up air fans.

A single-package air conditioning appliance includes a housing defining an outdoor portion and an indoor portion. An outdoor heat exchanger assembly is disposed in the outdoor portion. The outdoor heat exchanger assembly includes an outdoor heat exchanger and an outdoor fan. An indoor heat exchanger assembly is disposed in the indoor portion. The indoor heat exchanger assembly includes an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor fan. A compressor is in fluid communication with the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger to circulate a refrigerant between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger. The single-package air conditioner unit also includes a make-up air module. The make-up air module extends between the outdoor portion of the housing and an outside of the housing. The make-up air module includes a plurality of make-up air fans.

A single-package air conditioner unit may include a housing, an outdoor heat exchanger assembly, an indoor heat exchanger assembly, an indoor heat exchanger, a compressor, and an intake conduit. The housing may define an outdoor portion and an indoor portion. The compressor may be in fluid communication with an outdoor heat exchanger and an indoor heat exchanger to circulate a refrigerant between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger. The intake conduit may extend from the housing. The intake conduit may define an intake passage upstream from the indoor heat exchanger assembly. The intake conduit may further define a primary inlet and a secondary inlet spaced apart from the primary inlet in fluid parallel thereto. The primary inlet and the secondary inlet may be defined upstream from the intake passage to separately permit air thereto.

A single-package air conditioner unit may include a housing, an outdoor heat exchanger assembly, an indoor heat exchanger assembly, an indoor heat exchanger, a compressor, and an intake conduit. The housing may define an outdoor portion and an indoor portion. The compressor may be in fluid communication with an outdoor heat exchanger and an indoor heat exchanger to circulate a refrigerant between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger. The intake conduit may extend from the housing. The intake conduit may define an intake passage upstream from the indoor heat exchanger assembly. The intake conduit may further define a primary inlet and a secondary inlet spaced apart from the primary inlet in fluid parallel thereto. The primary inlet and the secondary inlet may be defined upstream from the intake passage to separately permit air thereto.

An air purifying system may include a main air purifier that has a flat upper surface configured to support at least two cylindrical portable air purifiers. Each of the main and portable air purifiers may have a fan to suction air and a filter to filter suctioned air. The upper surface of the main air purifier may include a seating groove, an elastic member provided in the seating groove, and a seating plate resting on top of the elastic member. When a portable air purifier is seated on the seating groove, the elastic member may be compressed and the seating plate may be lowered such that the portable air purifier may be supported within an inner wall of the seating groove. When the portable air purifier is removed from the seating groove, the elastic member may expand and raise the seating plate back to an initial position.

An air purifying system may include a main air purifier that has a flat upper surface configured to support at least two cylindrical portable air purifiers. Each of the main and portable air purifiers may have a fan to suction air and a filter to filter suctioned air. The upper surface of the main air purifier may include a seating groove, an elastic member provided in the seating groove, and a seating plate resting on top of the elastic member. When a portable air purifier is seated on the seating groove, the elastic member may be compressed and the seating plate may be lowered such that the portable air purifier may be supported within an inner wall of the seating groove. When the portable air purifier is removed from the seating groove, the elastic member may expand and raise the seating plate back to an initial position.

An air conditioning appliance or a make-up air (MUA) assembly may include an intake conduit and a secondary air duct. The intake conduit may be attachable to a housing of the air conditioning appliance. The intake conduit may define an intake passage upstream from the indoor inlet. The intake conduit may further define a secondary inlet upstream from the intake passage to permit air thereto. The secondary air duct may extend from the intake conduit outside of the housing upstream from the secondary inlet to direct air thereto.

An air conditioning appliance or a make-up air (MUA) assembly may include an intake conduit and a secondary air duct. The intake conduit may be attachable to a housing of the air conditioning appliance. The intake conduit may define an intake passage upstream from the indoor inlet. The intake conduit may further define a secondary inlet upstream from the intake passage to permit air thereto. The secondary air duct may extend from the intake conduit outside of the housing upstream from the secondary inlet to direct air thereto.
