Air humidification and/or purification

The present application relates to an apparatus for purifying and/or humidifying air, and a related method for purifying and/or humidifying air. The apparatus comprises a rotary filter (1), a fan (9, 10) for passing air through the rotary filter (1), and a reservoir (4, 5), and wherein the rotation speed of the rotary filter (1) and the settings of the fan (9, 10) depend on the ambient relative humidity and ambient gas pollutant concentration. The apparatus combines the feature of chemisorption with the use of a rotary filter (1), thereby providing an apparatus which is able to purify air and/or regulate the ambient humidity based on humidity levels and levels of a target gas pollutant in the air. The invention removes the need for a pump for liquid transport, removes the need for frequent and expensive filter changes by the user, and instead only requires the user to periodically refresh the filtration solution in the reservoir (4, 5).

The invention relates to an insert element for inserting into a device for humidifying, cleaning and/or cooling a fluid, in particular a gas, such as, for example, air, said insert element comprising an insert body (10) which can be wetted with a liquid, in particular water, and through which a gas, in particular air, can flow and which has a flow inlet side and a flow outlet side and, between said sides, is provided with regions which can be wetted by the liquid and can be exposed to the fluid. The insert body (10) has a multi-layered design and has a number of undulated grid-type plate elements (12) which bear against one another, are limited by an edge (14, 16) and are provided with elevations and depressions. A film-type plate element (19, 19) is mounted between at least two adjacent grid plate elements (12). The film-type plate element (19, 19) is perforated.

A humidifying air purifier includes a door assembly supported and configured to be selectively drawn out of a front side of a cabinet and drawn into the front side of the cabinet to respectively open and close an inner portion of the cabinet. The door assembly includes an accommodation portion configured to support an air filter and a humidifying device which are both drawn out of and into the humidifying air purifier with the door assembly.

A humidifying air purifier includes a cabinet having an opening portion formed in an upper portion thereof, and a scroll housing disposed below the opening portion in the cabinet with an air blowing fan disposed in the scroll housing. The scroll housing may include a rounded first guide surrounding a portion of an outer periphery (or circumference) of the air blowing fan; a second guide extending from one end portion of the first guide toward the opening portion; a third guide extending from a cutoff portion formed at the other end portion of the first guide toward the opening portion and inclined in a direction away from the second guide toward the opening portion; and an extension plate extending horizontally from an upper end portion of the third guide in a direction away from the second guide and positioned below the opening portion.

An energy-efficient, space-saving, low-cost, waste-heat-utilizing ventilating air conditioning apparatus uses a honeycomb rotor having a function of adsorbing or absorbing contaminants such as carbon dioxide and VOC gas. The honeycomb rotor is disposed in a rotor rotating device having at least a processing zone and a re-generation desorption zone. Air to be processed is passed through the processing zone to remove contaminants such as carbon dioxide to produce supply air. Water is directly sprayed or dropped into a heat exchanger provided at an entrance of the re-generation desorption zone to evaporate the generated water film by heating. The generated saturated steam is introduced for desorbing carbon dioxide and pollutants, and the stream is discharged the stream outdoors. The ventilating air conditioning apparatus can operate without the energy loss associated with ventilation.
