Vent apparatuses comprise a filter comprising a pleasant scent such that when forced air passes therethrough, the scent on the filter is distributed into the room. Alternatively, a tank and/or reservoir may be disposed adjacent the vent, whereby upon activation a spray of a scent may be introduced into the airstream of the forced air and thereby distributed around the room, or the spray may be forced onto the filter, which may act as a substrate holding the scent thereon such that when forced air passes therethrough. In an alternative embodiment, the vent comprises fan blades that generate electricity from the forced air flowing therethrough for powering electronic devices and/or for charging batteries.

In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a moveable ventilation system comprising a supporting frame having at least one plenum, and at least one biofilter module mounted on the plenum for allowing air to flow through the biofilter module from an air inlet to an air outlet via a growth medium and a vegetation. A ventilation member of the present disclosure comprises: a support having a through hole that serves as an air passage between inside and outside of a housing upon attaching the support to an opening of the housing; and an air-permeable membrane disposed on the support and closing the through hole. The support comprises: a supporting portion in which the through hole is provided and at which the air-permeable membrane is disposed, and an insertion portion extending from the supporting portion and having an end with a hook, wherein the insertion portion bends in a direction closer to a central axis of the ventilation member while the hook is passing through the opening by being inserted into the opening, and fixes the ventilation member to the opening with the hook engaging the housing after passing through the opening. The ventilation member has a stopper portion with which bending of the insertion portion in the direction is restricted within an elastically deformable range of the insertion portion during the insertion into the opening. A ventilation member of the present disclosure can be reliably fixed to an opening of a housing with the insertion portion, even when the insertion portion is inserted into the opening at an angle.

A stile and rail frame exterior solid core door brings fresh outside air into a structure horizontally through a ventilator assembly. The ventilator assembly includes an upper housing. The upper housing includes a filter for filtering the fresh air and a fan in a fan housing provides a flow of air into the upper housing and through the filter and into the structure horizontally through the door. Air flow through the housing is controlled by a movable damper in the upper housing. An actuator moves the damper in response to electronic input signals. Stale air is exhausted from the structure in a similar manner, through a fan in a lower housing. The upper and lower housings with their fans extend substantially the width of the door between the stiles. Electronic elements are in a housing in the door, and respond to information appropriately sensed by sensor elements placed in the structure. For new construction, the ventilator assembly may be located in a transom area above the door or may be vertically oriented adjacent to a door or as desired.
