An indoor environmental control and air distribution system for a building includes: an air handling unit; a manifold connected to the air handling unit having a chamber formed by a plurality of walls and a plurality of orifices formed through at least one of the walls; air distribution conduits each independently having a first end connected to the orifices of the manifold and a second end extending out from the manifold into different zones throughout the building; and an airflow modulating device having one or more airflow regulating dampers independently configured to move into at least two positions in which each position provides a different percentage of total air volume to each air distribution conduit. A method of using the indoor environmental control and air distribution system is also included.

Lamp-integrated grille lighting system and vehicle thereof

A grille lighting system includes a light emitting lamp that includes one or more walls defining an inner space isolated from outside, a light emitting material disposed in the inner space and configured to emit light when the light emitting material contacts air, and a shutter disposed on the one or more walls, wherein the shutter is configured to be opened to allow introduction of outside air to the inner space from outside and further configured to be closed to block introduction of outside air to the inner space. The system further includes a controller configured to control operation of the shutter and cause the shutter to be opened and closed such that when the shutter is opened, the outside air is introduced to contact the light emitting material, which causes the light emitting material to emit light.

Floor air diffuser

An air diffuser configured to be positioned in a raised floor, in which the air diffuser includes a sleeve having a first end and a second end with an air flow passage extending through the sleeve from the first end to the second end, a diffuser face disposed at the first end of the sleeve and configured to be exposed to an environment in an installed position within the raised floor, a damper disposed at the second end of the sleeve, and a plenum chamber defined within the sleeve between the damper and the diffuser face.

Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system economizers having sliding doors

The disclosed technology includes devices and systems for an economizer of a heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The disclosed technology can include an economizer for an HVAC system comprising a housing, an air inlet extending through a wall of the housing, a sliding door configured to transition between a closed position and an open position, and a controller configured to cause the sliding door to transition between the closed position and the open position based on temperature data. The sliding door can comprise a first portion forming a barrier and a second portion comprising at least one aperture. In the closed position, the first portion can align with the air inlet and substantially prevent ambient air from moving through the air inlet. In the open position, the second portion can align with the air inlet and permit the ambient air to move through the air inlet.

A flow control member includes a body portion configured to be coupled to a damper plate and a plurality of projections extending from a periphery of the body portion. The plurality of projections defining an flow space between adjacent projections. The plurality of projections vary in size along the periphery of the body portion.

CLOSING APPARATUS AND AIRFLOW DEVICE

A closing apparatus for a fluid passage having a closing body arranged in the fluid passage. In order to simplify the regulated air supply in a motor vehicle, the closing body includes a definedly deformable base structure surrounded by a wrapper, which more or less closes the fluid passage as a function of the deformation of the base structure. The closing body closes the fluid passage when the base structure takes up a closed position with the wrapper. And, the closing body partially releases the fluid passage when the base structure with the wrapper takes up an opened position.

HVAC system

An airflow door for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The airflow door has a first material and a second material. The first material and the second material are temperature responsive materials that change shape at different temperatures such that at a first temperature the first material and the second material are shaped to provide the airflow door with a first configuration, and at a second temperature the first material and the second material are shaped to provide the airflow door with a second configuration that is different from the first configuration.
