20240302068 · 2024-09-12 ·

A gas mitigation system includes a duct defining a channel extending between an inlet positioned in flow communication with a ground pit positioned at least partially beneath the building, and an outlet positioned above the inlet and outside of the building. The system further includes a fan assembly having a fan coupled in flow communication with the channel and a motor operably coupled to the fan. A sensor is configured to detect an operating parameter of the fan assembly including at least one of the flow of air within the channel and vibrations generated by operation of the fan assembly. A processor is in communication with the sensor and a memory storing instructions thereon, which, when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to receive the operating parameter detected by the sensor and transmit an alert based upon the operating parameter.

A building panel may be installed below a slab in the construction of buildings. The building panel supports the slab and also provides a ventilation layer that may be depressurized to eliminate or reduce infiltration of radon gas into the building. The ventilation layer may comprise channels which provide a two-dimensionally interconnected void. Ventilation panels which include collars for connecting to ventilation systems may be provided. The panels may be installed directly on compacted soil. The building panels may additionally provide sub-slab insulation and/or a capillary break for water drainage. In some embodiments the building panels are formed substantially entirely of thermal insulating material such as rigid polystyrene foam. In an example embodiment the panels are approximately 4 inches thick and have a grid of intersecting channels formed on an underside of the panels.

A radon removal system includes a slab forming part of a foundation of a building, a barrier layer laid under the slab, the barrier layer being vertically gas impermeable and horizontally gas permeable. A gas inlet in the sealed system provides a fluid connection for gas flowing from the barrier layer through a sealed system (for example a sump body with water inlet, sump pump and water outlet) to a gas outlet. A negative pressure generated by the sealed system brings gas from the barrier layer into the sealed system through the gas inlet and out of the sealed system through the gas outlet.

INDOOR AIR CLEANING SYSTEM

An indoor air cleaning system is disclosed and includes gas detection modules, an air cleaning device, and a central control and regulation device. The gas detection module includes a microcontroller and a central control communication interface component. The microcontroller processes air pollution data and outputs regulation signals. The air cleaning device includes a fan, a filtering element and a driving control component. The central control and regulation device communicates through wired or wireless communication, providing control commands to the gas detection modules. The central control and regulation device controls the fan to guide the air pollution through the filtering element, and the indoor air quality is maintained based on the output pollution data. Consequently, the gas state reaches the air pollution data targeted by the gas detection modules based on the PM2.5 particle count accumulated in 24 hours, so as to meet a clean room requirement of ZAPClean Room 19.
