An air purifier including a fan having a plurality of fan speeds; a filter, wherein the fan draws air through the filter; a user interface in communication with a control system; wherein upon activation of the control system, the control system identifies an initial air quality index (AQI) based upon a geographic location of the air purifier, a room size based upon the type of room in which the air purifier is placed, and identifies a fan speed set by a user through the user interface, and determines a target air quality index achievable in thirty minutes of fan operation is provided. Further provided is an air purifier capable of predicting and updating time to achieve a target air quality and a target air quality based on a number of environmental factors.

COMPACT DUCT DETECTORS FOR HVAC SYSTEMS

An example duct detector may include a detection chamber and a control circuitry stacked vertically on top of the detection chamber. A sealing gasket may seal the contact between the substrate of the control circuitry (e.g., the seal may be at the bottom surface of a printed circuit board containing the control circuitry) and the detection chamber such that particles analyzed the detection chamber may not damage the control circuitry. Therefore, by providing a sealed barrier between the control circuitry and the detection chamber, the sealing gasket allows for a reduced footprint of having the stacked control circuitry and the detection chamber. As the seal does not create an barrier (the barrier is for the detection chamber) for a repair personnel to access the control circuitry, repairs to the duct detectors may be easier because the seal may not have to be broken and resealed during the repair process.

An air adjusting device includes a casing, a hood, a first airflow generating unit, a tunnel and an air conditioning module. The hood has a wind inlet. The first airflow generating unit is connected to the hood. The tunnel is connected to the first airflow generating unit, wherein the tunnel has a wind outlet. The hood, the first airflow generating unit and the tunnel form an airflow passage. The airflow passage is isolated from an internal space of the casing. At least one part of the air conditioning module is disposed at the wind inlet. The first airflow generating unit draws a first ambient air into the airflow passage from the wind inlet. A temperature of the first ambient air is adjusted by the air conditioning module and discharged from the wind outlet through the airflow passage.

VENTILATION FAN AND VENTILATION SYSTEM

A ventilation fan includes a body unit, which has a fan disposed in a body case and a fan controller operable to control an air volume of the fan. The ventilation fan also includes a sensor module having an indoor environment detecting sensor and a module controller operable to control a detecting operation of the indoor environment detecting sensor. The body unit has a module mount on which the sensor module is mounted and another sensor module can be mounted in place of the sensor module. The module mount is connected to the fan controller. The module controller outputs detection information obtained based on a detection result of the indoor environment detecting sensor to the fan controller, which in turn controls the air volume of the fan based on the detection information inputted thereto.

DEVICES FOR USE IN AN INDOOR AIR QUALITY SYSTEM

A system and method for obtaining environmental data—namely air quality information—from various devices contained within a structure is disclosed herein. The various devices contain sensors that can obtain environmental data, which is then analyzed by the system to determine if any level of a component within the data is outside of a predefined threshold range. If the system determines that the level of the component is outside of the predefined threshold range for that given component, the system will carry out certain steps in order to bring the level within the predetermined threshold range. These steps include selecting the appropriate appliance and the proper operating conditions to most efficiently bring the level back within the predetermined threshold range. Once the system has determined that the level is back within the predetermined threshold range, the system will instruct the selected appliance to turn OFF.
