ICE MAKER AND REFRIGERATOR
An ice maker includes: an upper tray defining an upper chamber that is a portion of an ice chamber; a lower tray defining a lower chamber that is another portion of the ice chamber, wherein the lower tray is relatively rotatable relative to the upper tray; and an upper heater disposed around the upper tray, for providing heat to the upper chamber, wherein the upper tray is made of a non-metal material and a flexible material, the upper heater is a DC heater receiving DC power, at least a portion of the upper tray is thicker than the lower tray, an accommodation part for accommodating the upper heater is formed on the upper tray, and at least a portion of the upper heater is disposed to vertically overlap the ice chamber in a state that the upper heater is accommodated in the accommodation part.
Ice maker heater assemblies
An ice maker includes an ice mold having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface of the ice mold is configured to retain water for forming ice cubes in the ice mold. The ice mold includes a plurality of ice lobes each shaped to form a respective ice cube in the ice mold. A heater assembly is positioned on the outer surface of the ice mold. In some embodiments, each of a plurality of heating elements of the heater assembly is aligned with a corresponding lobe of the plurality of lobes for supplying heat to ice cubes formed in the lobes for releasing the ice cubes from the ice mold. In some embodiments, the heater assembly includes a heater having a ceramic substrate and one or more electrically resistive traces and electrically conductive traces thick film printed on the ceramic substrate.
Ice maker heater assemblies
An ice maker includes an ice mold having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface of the ice mold is configured to retain water for forming ice cubes in the ice mold. The ice mold includes a plurality of ice lobes each shaped to form a respective ice cube in the ice mold. A heater assembly is positioned on the outer surface of the ice mold. In some embodiments, each of a plurality of heating elements of the heater assembly is aligned with a corresponding lobe of the plurality of lobes for supplying heat to ice cubes formed in the lobes for releasing the ice cubes from the ice mold. In some embodiments, the heater assembly includes a heater having a ceramic substrate and one or more electrically resistive traces and electrically conductive traces thick film printed on the ceramic substrate.
Ice maker
An ice maker includes an upper tray that includes a plurality of upper cells that each have a hemispherical shape and an ice making tube disposed at outer circumferential surfaces of the upper cells and configured to cool each of the upper cells. The ice maker also includes a lower tray that includes a plurality of lower cells that each have a hemispherical shape. The lower tray is rotatably connected to the upper tray. The ice maker further includes a rotation shaft connected to a rear end of the lower tray and a rear end of the upper tray, and configured to rotate the lower tray with respect to the upper tray.
Ice maker
An ice maker includes an upper tray that includes a plurality of upper cells that each have a hemispherical shape and an ice making tube disposed at outer circumferential surfaces of the upper cells and configured to cool each of the upper cells. The ice maker also includes a lower tray that includes a plurality of lower cells that each have a hemispherical shape. The lower tray is rotatably connected to the upper tray. The ice maker further includes a rotation shaft connected to a rear end of the lower tray and a rear end of the upper tray, and configured to rotate the lower tray with respect to the upper tray.

An ice maker of the present invention comprises: an upper tray defining an upper chamber that is a portion of an ice chamber, wherein an upper opening is provided in an upper side of the upper tray; a lower tray defining a lower chamber that is another portion of the ice chamber; a lower support supporting the lower tray and provided with a lower heater; and a control unit configured to operate the lower heater in an ice making process, wherein the control unit variably controls an output of the lower heater so that bubbles included in water in the ice chamber are gathered in a lowermost section in the ice making process.

An ice maker of the present invention comprises: an upper tray defining an upper chamber that is a portion of an ice chamber, wherein an upper opening is provided in an upper side of the upper tray; a lower tray defining a lower chamber that is another portion of the ice chamber; a lower support supporting the lower tray and provided with a lower heater; and a control unit configured to operate the lower heater in an ice making process, wherein the control unit variably controls an output of the lower heater so that bubbles included in water in the ice chamber are gathered in a lowermost section in the ice making process.

A refrigerator including a main body, a door, and an ice making chamber provided in the door and including an ice maker to make ice and an ice bucket to store the ice produced. The ice maker includes an ice making tray having a plurality of ice making cells for receiving water, an ice separation heater to heat the ice making tray so that ice is separated from the ice making tray, an ejector rotatably provided to transfer the ice separated to the outside of the ice making tray, and a water channel formed on partitions partitioning the plurality of ice making cells to allow water to flow between the partitions and configured such that at least one of surfaces in contact with ice has a tapered shape in which a thickness thereof gradually decreases in a direction of directing to the ice.

A refrigerator including a main body, a door, and an ice making chamber provided in the door and including an ice maker to make ice and an ice bucket to store the ice produced. DEFROSTER FOR A DIRECT COOL ICEMAKER
An icemaker assembly includes a mold body defining a plurality of cavities. A working fluid line is directly attached to the mold body, and a drain duct is disposed below the mold body. A defrost heating element is positioned below the mold body and within the drain duct. The defrost heating element is spaced from the mold body, and the defrost heating element is operable to melt frost on the mold body with radiant heat from the defrost heating element.
