Apparatus and method for insulating a beverage can
For a beverage can having a lower portion, an upper portion and a greater diameter, a beverage insulation system for holding a beverage can includes a base with walls and a bottom that together form a base cup sized and configured to receive the lower portion of the beverage can; a lid with walls and a top that together form a lid cup sized and configured to receive the upper portion of the beverage can; a hinge assembly connecting the lid with the base to enable the lid to pivot between a closed position covering the upper portion of the beverage can received in the base cup and an open position uncovering the upper portion of the beverage can received in the base cup; and a generally cylindrical insert having an inner surface and being coaxially held within and by the lid cup to encircle the upper portion of the beverage can in the closed position.
Cooling package and sensor probe
A cooling package that includes a sensor that provides a signal to the user to indicate that the cooling package is ready for use and when the cooling package is depleted is described. The sensor and sensor display are selected on the basis of the freezing point of the contained solution. The freezing point of the solution is adjustable through use of organic or inorganic additives. The sensor can further be used by placement directly in contact with a food product and through measurement of temperature, pH or electrical conductivity a signal to the user through the built in display warns of food spoilage if the temperature, cumulative time above a pre-selected temperature, pH or electrical conductivity exceed a pre-selected limit.

Shipping system for storing and/or transporting temperature-sensitive materials
Shipping system for storing and/or transporting temperature-sensitive materials. In one embodiment, the system includes an outer box having four side walls, bottom closure flaps, and top closure flaps. A vacuum insulated panel (VIP) is detachably coupled to one of the top closure flaps and is removably covered by a cover. An insulation unit is removably positioned within the outer box, the insulation unit including a plurality of VIPs arranged to define a cavity bounded by a bottom wall and four side walls. A disposable liner is removably mounted on the insulation unit. The liner may be a thermoformed sheet and may cover the interior and top surfaces of the insulation unit. A plurality of temperature-control members and a product box may be removably positioned in the liner. Preferably, the liner is shaped so that the temperature-control members snugly fit around all sides of the product box.

Wearable Hydration/Cooling System
An apparatus comprises a cooling medium compartment between first and second beverage compartments, and a water permeable membrane. The cooling medium compartment comprises a topside zipper and underside zipper. When the underside zipper is closed, there is no opening between the cooling medium compartment and the water permeable membrane. When the underside zipper is at least a partially open, there is an opening between the cooling medium compartment and the permeable membrane to allow water to move from the cooling medium compartment to the permeable membrane. The apparatus provides the option of whether or not to cool the back of the user's neck with a cooling medium placed in the apparatus that wets a water permeable portion of the apparatus that is in contact with the neck of the user.
Transport container
A transport container for transporting temperature-sensitive transport goods comprising a chamber for receiving the transport goods, a casing enclosing the chamber and at least one cooling element for temperature control of the chamber, wherein the cooling element comprises an evaporation element with a cooling surface, a desiccant for receiving coolant evaporated in the evaporation element and a reservoir for the coolant which is fluidly connectable with the evaporation element. Means are provided for evaporating the coolant stored in the desiccant and the desiccant is connected to the reservoir for transporting the vaporized coolant to the reservoir.

Temperature control case for medicament
The invention pertains to a portable insulated medicament container that includes a housing defining a cavity for receiving medicament for maintaining temperature control of the medicament. The housing has an opening for accessing the cavity, and the housing further includes one or more cooling elements for placement in the cavity. The invention also pertains to a method for using a portable insulated medicament container to store a medicament at a temperature range to avoid damage to the medicament.
ICE PACKS, HEATING PADS, COOLERS, AND ICE PACK CARRIERS WITH AN EXTERNAL SURFACE COATED WITH A COATING CONTAINING AN ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT
An ice pack comprises a plastic sac with an external surface, the plastic sac forming an interior chamber, a substance within the interior chamber capable of absorbing thermal energy, and a coating, which contains one or more antimicrobial agents, on the external surface. The substance can comprise water, including polymer beads mixed with the water. The one or more antimicrobial agents can include a quaternary ammonium ion or salt thereof, such as a silane quaternary ammonium ion or salt thereof. The silane quaternary ammonium ion or salt thereof can be 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium ion, 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride, 3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium ion, or 3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride. Instead of an ice pack, the apparatus comprising the coating containing one or more antimicrobial agents can be an object that is used around injured people and/or perishable items such as heating pads, coolers, and ice pack carriers.
