REFRIGERATOR WITH A PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL AS A THERMAL STORE
20170314839 · 2017-11-02 ·

A refrigerator having a thermal store comprising a phase change material is disclosed. The refrigerator has a cooling chamber for containing an object to be cooled, and a vapor compression refrigeration system including a first evaporator for cooling the cooling chamber and a second evaporator for cooling the phase change material. A valve is provided to control the flow of refrigerant to the first and second evaporators depending on the cooling load on the refrigerator. When the refrigerator is subject to a relatively low cooling load, refrigerant flows to the second evaporator to cool the phase change material and, when the refrigerator is subject to a relatively high cooling load, refrigerant flows to the first evaporator such that increased cooling is provided to the cooling chamber by the first evaporator and the phase change material.

No-Frost Refrigeration Device

An in-refrigerator blower configured to drive cold air to refrigerator storage rooms with reduced vibration and reduced noise. The in-refrigerator blower includes a drive device, a drive device accommodation portion, and a support portion coupled to the drive device accommodation portion and configured to extend in a radial direction. A plurality of blades extend in a direction different from an extension direction of the support portion. Each of the blades has an entrance angle in the range of 39°-49°, an exit angle in the range of 29.5° to 34.5° in one example. The number of the blades is greater than seven and smaller than nine.

SYSTEM FOR INHIBITING THE GROWTH OF PATHOGENIC MICROORGANISMS AND STERILIZING DEVICE USED IN SUCH SYSTEM
20170307280 · 2017-10-26 ·

The present invention relates to a system for inhibiting the growth of pathogenic microorganisms, used in refrigerating appliances, air conditioners, and related apparatuses/equipment, using a sterilizing device (1) comprising an upper part (1A) and a lower part (1B), the upper part (1A) being provided with an electronic board (2) with ultraviolet LEDs (3) arranged in a duct (4), and the lower part (1B) having two parallel air circulation ducts (5), which are provided with a plurality of outlets (6), the device (1) being specially designed and located so that ultraviolet light directly impinges on the flow of cool air flowing inside the apparatus, causing the air circulating internally to have a sterilizing effect on the products stored inside a refrigerator or on the air produced by an air conditioner.

ICE MAKER AIR FLOW RIBS

A refrigeration appliance includes a freezer compartment for storing food items. An ice maker is disposed within the freezer compartment and includes a removable ice bin having an internal cavity. A front cover closes a front open end of the ice bin. The front cover includes a front face oriented toward a front of the freezer compartment, a rear face, and a recess formed in the rear face. The rear face of the front cover is disposed adjacent to a horizontal edge portion of the ice maker when the removable ice bin is disposed within the ice maker wherein the recess defines a gap between the front cover and the horizontal edge portion that fluidly communicates with the internal cavity of the removable ice bin. A plurality of ribs is disposed within the gap for directing air exiting the internal cavity of the removable ice bin into a predetermined direction.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator comprising a refrigerator body provided with a refrigerating compartment, an ice maker, an ice-making air duct, a first fan assembly disposed in the ice-making air duct and an ice maker evaporator is disclosed. The ice-making air duct comprises an air inlet duct and an air return duct, which are both disposed in a foaming layer of the refrigerating compartment, and one ends thereof close to the ice maker extend into a foaming layer on a door body of the ice maker. The first fan assembly is detachably disposed in the air return duct, and may be integrally disassembled from and installed in the air return duct. The ice maker evaporator is disposed between the air inlet duct and the air return duct and at the side far away from the ice maker.

Refrigerator storage compartment assembly

A storage compartment assembly is located within the interior of a compartment of a refrigerator such as a fresh food compartment of a refrigerator. The storage compartment assembly includes a storage container the temperature of which can be controlled independently of the temperature in the fresh food compartment. At least one of the sides of the storage container can be spaced away from a respective interior side of the refrigerator compartment and a housing located in the space between the side of the storage container and the interior side of the refrigerator compartment.
