Thermal bridgebreaker and seal features in a thin-walled vacuum insulated structure

A vacuum insulated refrigerator structure includes an outer wrapper having a first opening and a first edge extending around the first opening. A liner has a second opening and second edge extending around the second opening. The liner is disposed inside the wrapper with the first and second edges being spaced apart to form a gap therebetween. An insulating thermal bridge extends across the gap, and an airtight vacuum cavity is formed between the wrapper and the liner. The thermal bridge includes elongated first and second channels having sealant disposed therein, and the first and second edges are disposed in the first and second channels, respectively. Porous core material may be disposed in the vacuum cavity.

Cooling appliance

A cooling appliance has a heat insulation shell. The shell includes an outer wall and an inner wall that are spaced apart from each other, and a heat insulation material located between the outer wall and the inner wall. The heat insulation material is formed by foaming a foaming material injected between the outer wall and the inner wall. The shell has a filling hole formed in the outer wall, and a baffle plate located between the outer wall and the inner wall and used for closing the filling hole. The baffle plate is connected to the outer wall. The filling hole includes a near end close to the connecting end and a far end away from the connecting end. The outer wall inclines towards the inner wall in a direction from the near end to the far end on an area on which the filling hole is disposed.

STANDOFF FEATURE FOR APPLIANCE

A standoff assembly for an appliance includes a trim breaker that defines a channel. A standoff feature is disposed on a bottom surface within the channel. The standoff feature includes a base with at least one horizontal flange and at least one vertical tapered projection extending therefrom. An adhesive is disposed within the channel that is defined by the trim breaker. An outer wrapper has an outer edge. The outer edge is disposed within the channel that is defined by the trim breaker.
