The base and cover have substantially equal length and width so that the cover can be placed on the base to form an assembled container holder with a substantially rectangular cuboid outer surface. The assembled container holder defines an interior space having a height approximately equal to the height of the containers. The interior space of the assembled container holder is capable of accommodating multiple cans with the cans in an upright orientation. The hold insert may contain a freezable liquid for placement between the containers to keep beverages in the containers cool.

At least one of the surfaces is convoluted, and a phase change material is disposed in the chamber. The upper end of the generally tubular housing engaged the upper end of an insulated cup. At least one passage is defined between the inner and outer surfaces of the generally tubular housing to allow the flow of liquid when the cup is tilted. The phase change material disposed in the chamber absorbs thermal energy from the liquid and then releases the thermal energy back to the liquid to maintain the temperature of the liquid.

BEVERAGE CONTAINER HOLDER

The holder 200 has a side wall 202 defining an opening 208 through which the beverage container is insertable and a base 204. A collar 210 is positioned within the opening 208, and the side wall 202 and the base 204 together define a cavity 214 for receiving the beverage container 216. The collar 210 is pliable and is arranged to deform to contact and grip the beverage container 216. The opening 208 has a first width and the collar 210 has an aperture 212 formed therein, the aperture 212 having a second width, the first and second widths being selected to adapt the device to the desired range of sizes.

The inner container may be filled with an insulator or refrigerant material to increase the thermal resistance across the inner container. The size and shape of the inner container may allow the inner container to surround at least a portion of the beverage while also fitting inside the outer container. The lid fits over the bottle or can and securely engages with the outer container to allow the beverage insulating device to simultaneously cool and insulate the beverage while also allowing consumption of the beverage.

A portable insulated container includes an outer shell and a temperature control pack. The portable insulated container also includes a first insert portion that fits inside the outer shell and a second insert portion that also fits inside the outer shell and is configured to engage with the first insert portion to form a plurality of insulated cavities including a temperature control pack cavity along with three or more separate bottle storage cavities. Each of the three or more bottle storage cavities is configured for receiving a bottle and each of the three or more bottle storage cavities is configured for receiving bottles of different sizes and shapes. Each of the three or more bottle storage cavities may also be equidistant from the temperature control pack cavity.
