Product and method for cell preservation
The present invention relates to a product and method for cell preservation, such as cell banking of any type of cells for subsequent scientific or medical use. More closely, the invention relates to a product and a method for cryopreservation of cells using vacuum tubes provided with freeze media/cryopreservation liquid.
Beverage chiller employing array of heat exchange tubes
Disclosed is a beverage chiller having a bottom portion and a top portion. The bottom portion includes a perimeter wall defining a receiving vessel for receiving a beverage to be chilled. The top portion includes at least first and second cooling tubes. The bottom and top portions interfit such that the cooling tubes extend vertically down into the beverage and chill the beverage to a desired temperature by thermal contact with said cooling tubes when the top portion is positioned on the bottom portion. The first and second cooling tubes have first and second perimeters, respectively, within a horizontal cross-section of the top portion, and the first and second perimeters have substantially a same size and shape.
BOTTLE ADAPTER FOR TREATING LIQUID IN THE INTERIOR OF THE BOTTLE
The Invention constitutes a device for treatment or analysis of the liquid inside a container, comprising: an universal connector having a first part for affixment to a portion of the container and a second part extending from the first part and made integral therewith; and, an active element for affixment to the second part of the universal connector and extending from the second part into an interior storage area of the container, and the active element affecting the characteristics of the liquid or measuring attributes of the liquid.
FUNCTIONAL WATER BOTTLE WITH ICE FORMING CORE AND ICE MAKING TOOL
Provided is a functional water bottle with ice forming core and an ice making tool, the water bottle including: a container body having one side opened and closed by means of a lid, for receiving fluid in a cylindrical form; and an ice holder coupled to one side of the container body and extending toward the inside of the container body, for holding ice, wherein the ice holder holds the ice in such a manner that the ice holder may be inserted into or taken out of the container body.
Sterile apparatus for rapid cooling of hot water
An apparatus for cooling liquids that includes a tank that has two longitudinal walls, two lateral walls and a bottom, and cooling flasks that each of them has two longitudinal walls, two lateral walls and a bottom. The flasks are designed to contain coolant. The lateral walls and at least one longitudinal wall of each flask has at least one protrusion smaller than 2.5 millimeters. The flasks are designed to be set within the tank in such a way that the protrusions are attached to the longitudinal walls of the tank. The protrusions create a gap smaller than 2.5 millimeters between each two adjacent flasks and between the lateral walls of the flasks to the longitudinal walls of the tank. These gaps constitute a single cooling space. The total volume of the flasks is three times greater or more than the volume of the single cooling space.
Cold storage system
Systems and apparatus for providing long-term cold storage of solid materials such as dry ice are disclosed. The solid materials are stored in a tank configured to maintain the materials in their solid state. The tank is designed with a port sufficiently large to facilitate ingress and egress of the solid materials. A cryogenic liquid is used within the tank to substantially prevent the solid materials from sticking to each other, and to maintain the solid materials at a low temperature.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE FOR A CONTAINER
A temperature control device for a container includes a base, a projection extending from the base and temperature control substance contained within an inner chamber of the projection. The base has a bottom wall, at least one side wall, and a top wall from which the projection extends. The projection includes a side wall, a bottom wall and a top wall which together define an inner chamber in which the temperature control substance is located. Preferably, the temperature control substance is one of a phase changing material or an activated carbon. The device is configured to connect with a bottom wall opening of a container to provide temperature control to the contents located within the container.
ICE MOLD FOR MAKING ICE STRAWS
An ice mold for forming hollow, elongated ice structures intended to be used as drinking straws.
SELF-COOLING BEVERAGE CONTAINER HAVING A HEAT EXCHANGE UNIT USING LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE AND A TWIST TOP ACTIVATION SYSTEM
A self-cooling container for holding a food or beverage which includes a heat exchange unit (HEU) secured internally thereof so that the food or beverage is in contact with the outer surface of the HEU, the HEU being closed by a frangible membrane which is punctured by a pierce pin when a twist base activator is rotated in a first direction to create dis-equilibrium to cause liquid carbon dioxide contained within the HEU to pass directly from the liquid to the gaseous state and pass through a restricted orifice to atmosphere to cool the food or beverage.
