AUGMENTED DOOR BIN COOLING USING A DEDICATED AIR DUCT IN A DUAL-EVAPORATOR REFRIGERATOR CONFIGURATION
A refrigerator includes a fresh food compartment and a mullion adjacent the fresh food compartment. The refrigerator further includes an evaporator compartment defining an exterior and an interior and containing an evaporator. The refrigerator also includes a duct in fluid communication with the evaporator compartment at a first end thereof and in communication with a second end adjacent an opening of the fresh food compartment. The duct has a first portion thereof that extends downwardly from the first end and a second portion extending through the mullion.
Refrigerator and control method thereof
A refrigerator and a method of control thereof, whereby after driving of a compressor and a blower fan is stopped as temperatures of a refrigeration compartment and a freezer compartment are in a satisfactory state, opening/closing operations of a damper are repeatedly performed, so that cold air in the freezer compartment is supplied into the refrigeration compartment. Alternatively, if the temperature of the refrigeration compartment reaches an upper limit temperature, the repeated opening/closing operations of the damper are started. The repeated opening/closing operations of the damper are performed until the temperature of the refrigeration compartment reaches a lower limit temperature, so that a cooling operation of the refrigeration compartment is performed only once while the compressor is being driven.
Refrigeration Device
A refrigeration device has a cabinet having a pair of refrigerated interior spaces and an upper compartment which houses removable compressor and evaporator modules. An air supply plenum is positioned between the refrigerated spaces to evenly provide cold air. The evaporator module has a removable, thermally insulative cover to facilitate servicing.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator may include a body formed with a storage space and a cooling module accommodating space; a cooling module disposed in the cooling module accommodating space and having a heat absorption part and a heat radiating part; a drawer supporter disposed inside the storage space; and a drawer supported by the drawer supporter, and the drawer supporter is formed with an inner passage through which cold air flowing from the heat absorption part passes, and the drawer supporter is formed with a plurality of cold air discharge ports through which cold air of the inner passage is discharged in an opposite direction. Therefore, it is possible to maximize the depth of the storage space in the front-rear direction while minimizing the number of parts, and cool the entire storage space evenly.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes an evaporator arranged in a heat exchange chamber and having refrigerant pipes through which refrigerant flows and fins configured to guide heat exchange between the refrigerant and cold air, wherein the evaporator includes a first and a second side spaced apart from each other, and the fins of the evaporator guide flow of air such that the cold air introduce into the first and second sides is combined with each other in the space between the first and second sides.
Active insulation hybrid dual evaporator with rotating fan
An appliance having a fresh food storage compartment and a freezer compartment. The appliance includes a forced air coil system disposed between the fresh food storage compartment and the freezer compartment and is configured to selectively provide cooling to one or both of the at least one fresh food storage compartment and the at least one freezer compartment. The forced air coil system includes an evaporator fan configured to provide cooling to the food storage compartment, the freezer compartment, or both.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator is provided, including a body having a refrigerator compartment and a freezer compartment positioned under the refrigerator compartment and separated by a mullion, and a cooling device provided at a lower portion of the refrigerator compartment, with a cold air passage guiding cold air to the cooling device. The cooling device may include a case having an open front surface, an agitating assembly disposed in the case and swinging about a rotational axis that is parallel with a longitudinal direction of the case, an agitating mechanism electrically or mechanically connected with the agitating assembly to swing the agitating assembly, a fan motor assembly mounted at a rear end of the case and supplying cold air into the case, and a cover selectively opening or closing the opened front surface of the case. An intake port and a discharge port of the cold air passage communicate with the freezer compartment.
