The ice-making air duct comprises an air inlet duct and an air return duct, which are both disposed in a foaming layer of the refrigerating compartment, and one ends thereof close to the ice maker extend into a foaming layer on a door body of the ice maker. The first fan assembly is detachably disposed in the air return duct, and may be integrally disassembled from and installed in the air return duct. The ice maker evaporator is disposed between the air inlet duct and the air return duct and at the side far away from the ice maker.

The portable cooling device comprises a housing and a door with a handle coupled to the housing for providing access to the interior of the housing. The door and housing are insulated. At least one fan is provided in the interior of housing. In an embodiment, a plurality of fans are configured on each surface defining the interior of the housing. A cooling medium source is in fluid communication with the housing. The cooling medium source is configured to release a cooling medium in the interior of the housing for cooling an edible item or beverage placed in the interior of the housing. The portable cooling device can be powered through solar means or through traditional electrical means. The power is necessary to operate the fans and the cooling medium source.

Methods and systems for an energy efficient MTRS are provided. In one embodiment, a refrigerated transport unit is provided that includes a multi-zone transport unit and an energy efficient MTRS. The multi-zone transport unit includes an internal space separated into a first zone and a second zone. The internal space includes a zone separator separating and thermally isolating the first zone and the second zone. The energy efficient MTRS is configured to control and maintain a separate environmental condition requirement of each of the first zone and the second zone. The energy efficient MTRS includes a remote fan unit provided between the first zone and the second zone. The remote fan unit is configured to provide a heat exchange between the first zone and the second zone for providing climate control within the second zone.

A cooling device including a liner defining a freezer compartment, a shelf positioned within the freezer compartment, and an ice maker assembly secured to the shelf. The ice maker assembly including an ice maker configured to produce ice pieces, and an ice maker support frame that supports the ice maker. The ice maker support frame includes a fill cup and an air plenum, the air plenum defining a channel therein and extends between first and second walls of the ice maker support frame. A fan is disposed adjacent the ice maker frame at a location corresponding to the air plenum. The fill cup is configured to receive water from a water fill tube and direct the water to an ice tray of the ice maker.

The fan base has a flange portion and a conduit portion. The conduit portion of the fan base mates with an opening in a conduit member of the fan guard. The opening in the fan guard is sized and configured to form an interference fit with at least a portion of a conduit portion of the fan base while allowing rotation of the fan guard relative to the fan base about the longitudinal axis. The second longitudinal end of the fan-guard conduit member is at least partially angled to allow the rotation about a lateral axis in order to pitch the direction of the grill front wall.
