A process for recycling polyolefins comprising the steps of extruding used polyolefin material, producing granules from the polyolefin material exiting from the extrusion into a liquid cooling medium, separating the cooling medium to obtain a dry polyolefin granulate, and treating the dry polyolefin granulate in a treatment space with a treatment gas, preferably by counter-current flow, immediately after separation of the cooling medium, the dry polyolefin granules still have a granule temperature (T2) which is above a temperature (T1) of the liquid cooling medium and in the range of 71° C.-200° C., preferably 80° C.-160° C., but below the melting point of the granules, and at least 75% of the dry polyolefin granules, in the treatment space, have a dry temperature (T3) which is in the range of granule temperature (T2)±20° C., but below the melting point of the granules.

Provided is a device for granulating, agglomerating, pelletising, drying and/or coating, the device including a swirl chamber, a distribution chamber, wherein the swirl chamber is separated from the distribution chamber by a base and wherein a powder to be granulated or a powder mixture to be granulated is presented in the swirl chamber, the device further including at least one agitator for thoroughly mixing the powder to be granulated or the powder mixture to be granulated and at least one addition device for a liquid, wherein the base is designed in several parts and at least one base part is horizontally and/or vertically displaceable, with the result that that the base becomes a distributor plate. Also provided is a method for granulating, agglomerating, pelletising, drying and/or coating using such a device and a base suitable for use as a distributor plate in a convective drying apparatus.
Dryer for lactose and high lactose products
A system for drying a wet lactose product stream includes a disperser configured to disperse agglomerated lactose particulates in a wet lactose stream into a dispersed wet lactose stream. A back-mixed partial drying zone is configured to at least partially dry the dispersed wet lactose stream by recirculating a partially dried lactose stream with the dispersed wet lactose stream. A plug-flow secondary drying zone is configured to dry the partially dried lactose stream to generate a substantially dried lactose stream.

A process for drying granular polymeric material, comprising the steps of: dehumidifying the granular polymeric material by means of a first flow of gas at a first temperature of between 100° C. and 150° C.; heating the dehumidified granular polymeric material to a second temperature, greater than the first temperature; drying the granular polymeric material heated to the second temperature, by applying a predefined vacuum level; and transferring the dried granular polymeric material to a feed hopper (40) provided upstream of a working machine (100).

MANURE PELLETS, AND PROCESS AND EQUIPMENT FOR MAKING THE SAME
A pellet made of dried, unfermented livestock manure has N, P and K values in the range of N: 3 to 7 g/kg, as ammoniac and organic nitrogen, P: 2 to 6 g/kg as phosphorus pentoxide and K: 2 to 6 g/kg as potassium oxide (g/kg). The pellet has a hardness exceeding 10 kg and has a shell composed of manure-base lignin. A press roll, including a hollow rotatable drum with a perforated screen, may be used in combination with an endless belt and a scraper to produce the pellet.
