MANURE PELLETS, AND PROCESS AND EQUIPMENT FOR MAKING THE SAME
A pellet made of dried, unfermented livestock manure has N, P and K values in the range of N: 3 to 7 g/kg, as ammoniac and organic nitrogen, P: 2 to 6 g/kg as phosphorus pentoxide and K: 2 to 6 g/kg as potassium oxide (g/kg). The pellet has a hardness exceeding 10 kg and has a shell composed of manure-base lignin. A press roll, including a hollow rotatable drum with a perforated screen, may be used in combination with an endless belt and a scraper to produce the pellet.
Device and method for granulating, agglomerating, pelletising, drying and/or coating
Provided is a device for granulating, agglomerating, pelletising, drying and/or coating, the device including a swirl chamber, a distribution chamber, wherein the swirl chamber is separated from the distribution chamber by a base and wherein a powder to be granulated or a powder mixture to be granulated is presented in the swirl chamber, the device further including at least one agitator for thoroughly mixing the powder to be granulated or the powder mixture to be granulated and at least one addition device for a liquid, wherein the base is designed in several parts and at least one base part is horizontally and/or vertically displaceable, with the result that that the base becomes a distributor plate. Also provided is a method for granulating, agglomerating, pelletising, drying and/or coating using such a device and a base suitable for use as a distributor plate in a convective drying apparatus.
ELECTROSTATIC SPRAY DRYER SYSTEM
An electrostatic spray dryer for drying liquid into powder including an elongated cylindrical drying chamber having an electrostatic spray nozzle at an upper end and a powder collection vessel at a lower end. The powder collection vessel includes a removable and replaceable filter collections sock made of filter material for receiving and collecting dried powder from the drying chamber. For cleaning residual powder from an inside wall of the drying chamber, a scraper member is provided that is coupled by magnetic attraction to a manually removable driver on the external surface of the wall.
Solid Material Drying System
The disclosure discloses a solid material drying system, including a drying tower and a closed annular conveyor belt at the bottom of the drying tower. A solid material enters the drying tower through the conveyor belt, and a first airflow moves towards the top of the drying tower from the bottom of the drying tower through the conveyor belt. Side walls of the drying tower are provided with several openings, and a second airflow moves towards the outside of the drying tower from the inside of the drying tower. Blocking plates that can block the openings are disposed at positions close to and above the openings inside the drying tower, and the blocking plates are hinged with the side walls of the drying tower. The disclosure is suitable for drying solid materials, and can be efficiently and universally applied to the drying of various types of solid materials.
Hybrid boiler-dryer and method
A method of operating a furnace having a firing system is disclosed. The method includes providing a solid fuel to a sieve; separating the fuel into a portion and a second portion; providing a first portion of a flue gas to a first fuel dryer comprising a first duct; providing the first portion of fuel to the first duct, and drying the first portion of fuel therein; conveying the first portion of fuel through the first duct to the furnace; burning the first portion of fuel with firing system; conveying the second portion of fuel and a second portion of the flue gas to a second fuel dryer in a lower portion of the furnace, providing the second portion of fuel to a mill; pulverizing the second portion of fuel with the mill; conveying the second portion of fuel to the furnace; and burning the second portion of fuel.
Vibratory Fluidized Bed Dryer
A fluidized bed dryer may include a deck, an eccentric, and a blower. A heater may or may not be included. The deck of the fluidized bed dryer may vibrate due to motion of the eccentric. The blower may blow air through the deck of the fluidized bed dryer to dry material on the deck. As the material dries, the material moves across the deck, due to the vibration. The deck bed depth may be increased, which may allow for even process air flow distribution and control of conveyance speed and residence time. The fluidized bed dryer may include a controller configured to implement a drying process that may include one or more of temperature, moisture content, and relative humidity data to optimize product throughput while ensuring a desired degree of dryness.
Textile fiber drying
A method and a fiber-treatment system dry wet or damp fibers. A fiber mat (13) including wet or damp fibers is formed on a treatment band (31) which is moved in a conveying direction (x). An air flow (36, 36a) composed of heated drying air is generated in the fiber dryer (30). The heated drying air is guided in an upward direction through the treatment band and the fibers contained in the fibre mat (13, 14) are loosened and dried. Linters (16) possibly produced by any moving fibers are captured by a filter band (32) arranged above the treatment band, which is also moved in the conveying direction (x). At the outlet of the fiber dryer, the fibers are detached from a support (17) formed on the filter band, in particular when guiding the detached fibers back towards the dried fibers guided to the treatment band (31, 31c).

Drying apparatus and related method
There is provided an apparatus for use in drying a sample of geological material having a substantial moisture content. In one aspect, the apparatus comprises a means for providing a flow of heated fluid, and a means for managing the thermal state of the flow of heated fluid. The means for managing the thermal state of the flow of heated fluid is arranged operable with the means for providing a flow of heated fluid so that exposure of the sample to the flow of heated fluid facilitates a reduction of the moisture content of a portion of the sample while substantially preserving one or more chemical and/or physical properties of the portion.
