DRYING APPARATUS, PRINTING SYSTEM AND DRYING METHOD
The wind velocity of the air injected by the air-blow dryers 7a, 7b is lower than that of the air injected by the air-blow dryers 7c, 7d. That is, since a large amount of moisture remains on the front surface M1 of the printing medium M passing through the air-blow dryers 7a, 7b, the printing medium M is dried while the flow of the aqueous inks is suppressed by injecting the air at a lower wind velocity. On the other hand, the moisture decreases on the front surface M1 of the printing medium M dried by the air-blow dryers 7a, 7b and the fluidity of the aqueous inks is reduced. Accordingly, the drying of the printing medium M is promoted by injecting the air at a high wind velocity to the printing medium M passing through the air-blow dryers 7c, 7d.
Method and device for double-sided printing to a recording medium
In an method for double-sided printing to a recording medium, a first side of the recording medium is printed to with a liquid first color separation, the liquid first color separation is pre-dried such that a predetermined final drying state remains unachieved, where the pre-dried state is a transportable intermediate state that is between a wet print image directly after printing and the predetermined final drying state, a second side of the recording medium is printed to with a liquid second color separation, and the pre-dried first color separation and the second liquid color separation are jointly dried to entirely achieve the predetermined final drying state for both the first and second color separations.
METHOD FOR DRYING A SUBSTRATE AND AIR-DRYING MODULE AND DRYING SYSTEM
A method for at least partially drying a substrate. The method includes: (a) directing a supply air flow onto the substrate with a direction component in either the transport direction, or the opposite direction and (b) directing an exhaust air flow away from the substrate. The method is reproducible and effective and achieves an improved result with respect to the homogeneity and speed of drying because the exhaust air flow is split into a plurality of sub-flows by supplying each of the sub-flows to an individual intake channel, and because, in the event of a supply air flow in the transport direction of movement of the substrate, the supply air flow is arranged spatially upstream of the exhaust air flow and, in the event of a supply air flow in the opposite direction, the supply air flow is arranged spatially downstream of the exhaust air flow.
Coating apparatus with base material height changing device configured to selectively eject compressed gas
A coating apparatus includes a transport roll for transporting a base material, a slit die facing a lower surface of the base material, a coating liquid supply controller for switching on and/or off in supply of a coating liquid to the slit die, and a base material height changing device for ejecting compressed gas onto the lower surface of the base material during a specific period from a termination of the supply of the coating liquid to the slit die to a restart of the supply of the coating liquid to the slit die.
Thin film with non-self-aggregating uniform heterogeneity and drug delivery systems made therefrom
The invention relates to film products containing desired levels of active components and methods of their preparation. Desirably, the films disintegrate in water and may be formed by a controlled drying process, or other process that maintains the required uniformity of the film. Desirably, the films may be exposed to temperatures above that at which the active components typically degrade without concern for loss of the desired activity.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE PRODUCTION AND/OR PROCESSING OF A NONWOVEN GLASS FABRIC WEB
A method for producing and/or processing a nonwoven glass fabric web includes thermally drying the nonwoven glass fabric web via infrared radiation from an infrared radiation dryer. A specific power density of at least 153 kW/m.sup.2 is applied by the infrared radiation dryer to the surface of the nonwoven glass fabric web facing toward the infrared radiation dryer. After the irradiation by the infrared radiation dryer, the nonwoven glass fabric web has a temperature of at least 40 C. and at most 105 C. on its surface facing toward the infrared radiation dryer.
Belt-shaped material conveying apparatus capable of correcting meandering
A belt-shaped material conveying apparatus that supports a belt-shaped material conveyed in a conveying direction to a wind-up roll at a carrying-out side from a feed roll at a carrying-in side between these rolls in a noncontact state by air streams spouted to the belt-shaped material from support pads disposed to face a top surface side and an undersurface side of the belt-shaped material respectively, includes a pair of hydraulic cylinders as tilt means that tilts the support pad in the width direction of the belt-shaped material which crosses the conveying direction of the belt-shaped material.
FILMS AND DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS MADE THEREFROM
The invention relates to the film products and methods of their preparation that demonstrate a non-self-aggregating uniform heterogeneity. Desirably, the films disintegrate in water and may be formed by a controlled drying process, or other process that maintains the required uniformity of the film. The films contain a polymer component, which includes polyethylene oxide optionally blended with hydrophilic cellulosic polymers. Desirably, the films also contain a pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic active agent with no more than a 10% variance of the active agent pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic active agent per unit area of the film. The invention further relates to edible multi-layer films that dissolve in water. In particular, the edible multi-layer films have a first water-soluble film layer and one or more additional water-soluble film layers in at least partial face-to-face engagement with the first film layer.
Remote nozzle deckle system
Seal member for a nozzle or an air bar, that is configured and can be positioned to block at least a portion of the flow of air (or gas) exiting or discharged from the nozzle or air bar into the interior of a housing such as a dryer or the like. Each seal member can be actuated externally of the housing interior, without requiring physical access to the housing interior, to move it into air flow blocking relation with a nozzle, and to move it out of air flow blocking relation with a nozzle. Each seal member can be actuated while the apparatus remains in an operating mode. Also disclosed is a method of controlling or regulating the amount of air emitted or discharged from one or more nozzles in a housing by blocking air flow discharged from the one or more nozzles with a seal member.
