Battery plate grid dryer system and method
A system for drying a battery plate grid is disclosed. The system includes a pair of heated rollers disposed adjacent to one another, and a conveyor belt arranged to transfer the battery plate grids toward the heated rollers, such that the battery plate grid passes between, and comes in contact with, each of the heated rollers. The system includes a convection oven arranged to circulate convection heat around the battery plate grid when the battery plate grid completes transfer through the heated rollers.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE CONTROLLED CONVEYANCE OF A WORKPIECE THROUGH A FLUIDIZED BED DRYER
The present invention relates to the use of a mechanical apparatus to convey a workpiece through a fluidized bed dryer. In particular, the invention relates to a single or multiple stage vibrating fluidized drag conveyor having spaced apart conveyor paddles attached to a continuous chain or a similar device, and driven by a variable frequency motor drive. The invention is of particular applicability in the case of low-density workpieces where chaotic motion of air may disrupt or reverse the orderly flow of workpieces through the dryer.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE CONTROLLED CONVEYANCE OF A WORKPIECE THROUGH A FLUIDIZED BED DRYER
The present invention relates to the use of a mechanical apparatus to convey a workpiece through a fluidized bed dryer. In particular, the invention relates to a single or multiple stage vibrating fluidized drag conveyor having spaced apart conveyor paddles attached to a continuous chain or a similar device, and driven by a variable frequency motor drive. The invention is of particular applicability in the case of low-density workpieces where chaotic motion of air may disrupt or reverse the orderly flow of workpieces through the dryer.
DRYING FURNACE AND COATING DRYING METHOD
A drying furnace comprises a plurality of drying areas that are continuously provided along a longitudinal direction of the furnace and include a first hot air supply port, a second hot air supply port, and an exhaust port. The first hot air supply port is arranged at a position below a vehicle body in the furnace shell to discharge hot air diagonally upward. The second hot air supply port is arranged at a position higher than the first hot air supply port in the furnace shell to discharge hot air diagonally downward. The exhaust port is arranged at a position lower than the first hot air supply port and the second hot air supply port in the furnace shell to discharge the hot air outside the furnace shell. The drying furnace uniformly raises the temperature of the external and internal parts of the vehicle body while shortening the furnace length.
DRYING FURNACE AND COATING DRYING METHOD

Method and apparatus for treating laundry
Methods and apparatuses that provide for laundry to be washed and rinsed in a washing device in a state in which it lies spread out on an upper strand of a belt conveyor and, directly thereafter, to be dried in a likewise spread-out state on an upper strand of a belt conveyor. During the washing, rinsing and also the drying operations, the laundry rests on the belt conveyors, which also transport the laundry through the washing device and the dryer. The items of laundry here are washed, and also rinsed, by being sprayed with jets of liquid. The procedure described provides for a compact washing and drying system and is gentler on the items of laundry.
Apparatus and method for controlling the temperature of workpieces
An apparatus for controlling the temperature of workpieces, in particular of vehicle bodies, has a temperature-control tunnel, a traction chamber and an intermediate floor which is arranged between the temperature-control tunnel and the traction chamber and which has a connection passage. The apparatus includes a conveying device for conveying the workpieces in the temperature-control tunnel, wherein the conveying device has at least one conveying carriage with a running gear and has a workpiece carrier for holding the workpieces of which the temperature is to be controlled. The running gear is arranged in the traction chamber and is connected by a connecting device, which projects through the connection passage of the intermediate floor, to the workpiece carrier arranged in the temperature-control tunnel. To control the temperature of the traction chamber and thus adequately protect the running gear against heat or cold, the intermediate floor is equipped at least in regions with an active cooling and/or heating means.
Apparatus and method for controlling the temperature of workpieces
An apparatus for controlling the temperature of workpieces, in particular of vehicle bodies, has a temperature-control tunnel, a traction chamber and an intermediate floor which is arranged between the temperature-control tunnel and the traction chamber and which has a connection passage. The apparatus includes a conveying device for conveying the workpieces in the temperature-control tunnel, wherein the conveying device has at least one conveying carriage with a running gear and has a workpiece carrier for holding the workpieces of which the temperature is to be controlled. In order to provide a separating device for separating two spatial regions, which has a simple structure and provides for efficient fluid separation, it is proposed that the separating device comprises a supply device for supplying a separating fluid to be introduced between the two spatial regions, the supply device preferably comprising at least two guide elements for guiding the separating fluid, which guide elements are designed in particular as guide plates
