The hollow body (30) is coated on the outside with a third material and is filled on the inside with the third material, which has a lower melting temperature than the first material and the second material, wherein the filling (5) completely fills the hollow body and is then cooled, wherein the filled hollow body (30) is placed in a die-casting mould, wherein the second material is introduced into the die-casting mould as die casting with a first temperature and flows around the hollow body (30) at least partially, wherein the die casting melts off the third material of the surface coating (36) and melts on the first material of the hollow body (30) so that at least in regions an integral connection is formed between the die casting of the second material, which forms the base body (20), and the first material of the hollow body (30), wherein the die casting of the second material becomes rigid and solid, wherein during the solidification phase, the die casting of the second material heats the filling (5) made of the third material in the interior of the hollow body (30) until the melting temperature is reached, and wherein the melted third material is removed from the hollow body (30) under pressure.
Avionics heat exchanger
Aircraft turbine engines are controlled by complex electronic devices such as FADEC and PSS units. These devices can be adversely impacted by the engine environment including the condensing of evaporated water. Aspects of the present disclosure include unique heat exchangers to control the temperature of these electronic devices to assure their proper operation.
COOLING APPARATUSES WITH PHYSICALLY-POWERED, MECHANICAL COOLANT PUMPS
Apparatuses and methods of fabrication are provided which include a mechanical coolant pump to facilitate pumping a coolant through a coolant loop. The mechanical coolant pump is to couple to an individual and be physically powered by a specified movement of the individual to pump coolant. Coolant pumped by the mechanical coolant pump is circulated by the coolant pump through a device associated with the individual to cool the device.
Heat exchanger transfer tubes
A transfer tube for a thermal transfer device can include at least one wall having an inner surface and an outer surface, where the inner surface forms a cavity, where the at least one wall further has a first end and a second end. The first end can be configured to couple to a terminus of a heat exchanger of the thermal transfer device. The second end can be configured to couple to a collector box of the thermal transfer device. At least a portion of the at least one wall can be disposed in a vestibule of the thermal transfer device. The cavity can be configured to simultaneously receive a first fluid that flows from the first end to the second end and a second fluid that flows from the second end to the first end.
Finned heat exchanger U-bends, manifolds, and distributor tubes
A heat exchanger includes a frame and a plurality of coil passes disposed within the frame. The plurality of coil passes is configured to direct a flow of a refrigerant therethrough to transfer heat with an air flow passing over the heat exchanger. The plurality of coil passes include a U-bend disposed between first and second linear portions of the plurality of coil passes to redirect the refrigerant from a first longitudinal end of the heat exchanger to a second longitudinal end of the heat exchanger. Additionally, a first plurality of fins is disposed on an outer surface the U-bend.
