Disclosed herein is a fracturing unit for hydraulic fracturing having an engine and a fracturing pump connected to the engine through a variable speed torque converter. Also disclosed is a hydraulic fracturing system using multiple fracturing units which are sized similar to ISO containers. A hydraulic fracturing system may also force flow back water, produced water, or fresh water through a heat exchanger so that heat from the fracturing engines can be transferred to these liquids in order to vaporize them. A force cooled fractioning unit then can accept the vapor/steam in order to condense the various components and produce distilled water for re-use in the fracturing process or for release into the environment.

HEAT EXCHANGER WITH HEAT RESISTANT CENTER BODY
20170306794 · 2017-10-26 ·

A heat exchanger for use in a gas turbine engine has a central body including an inlet manifold and at least one tube providing an outlet manifold, and a plurality of tubes communicating holes in an outer periphery of the inlet manifold to holes in an outer periphery of the outlet manifold, and passages for cooling air to pass across the tubes. A gas turbine engine is also disclosed.

HEAT EXCHANGER

A heat exchanger includes a cooling air conduit having multiple baffles, a hot air conduit having multiple passes through the cooling air conduit and forming multiple intersections with the baffles, and multiple perforations extending through the baffles. A cooling air flow passes through the baffles, rather than strictly between the baffles, and improves heat-transfer characteristics of the heat exchanger.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EVAPORATING LIQUIDS CONTAINING POTENTIALLY EXPLOSIVE IMPURITIES

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for evaporating liquids containing potentially explosive impurities of lower volatility than the actual liquid compound. The set-up of the evaporator according to the invention allows its operation with complete evaporation of a liquid without formation of a liquid sump of not yet evaporated liquid.

Heat exchanger with interspersed arrangement of cross-flow structures

A heat exchanger includes a separator member that divides a first flow passage from a second flow passage. The heat exchanger also includes a plurality of first hollow members that extend across the first flow passage at respective non-orthogonal angles. The plurality of first hollow members are fluidly connected to the second flow passage. Moreover, the heat exchanger includes a plurality of second hollow members that extend across the second flow passage at respective non-orthogonal angles. The plurality of second hollow members are fluidly connected to the first flow passage.

U-BEND PIPE TYPE HEAT EXCHANGER

A U-bend pipe type heat exchanger includes: a heat exchanger main body surrounded by a front side plate, a back side plate, a left side plate, and a right side plate, and having open upper and lower portions through which a heat source passes; a plurality of U-bend pipes inserted between the left side plate and the right side plate, each of the plurality of U-bend pipes including two heat exchange pipes arranged in parallel with each other and a U-shaped pipe connecting one end portions of the two heat exchange pipes; and a plurality of water jackets attached to at least one of outward surfaces of the left side plate and the right side plate, and connecting open end portions of two adjacent heat exchange pipes such that a low-temperature water circulates along the plurality of U-bend pipes.

BATTERY FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENT COOLING FUNCTION

Proposed is a battery fire suppression system with a fire extinguishing agent cooling function, in which a fire extinguishing gas serves as a refrigerant for cooling a fire extinguishing agent and at the same time, the fire extinguishing gas is sprayed into a battery room or a battery module to quickly extinguish a fire in the battery. While allowing the fire extinguishing gas to basically serve as the refrigerant, depending on the amount of combustible materials loaded in the battery room, the shape of battery cells installed inside the battery module, the battery capacity, etc., it is possible to selectively determine whether to allow the fire extinguishing gas to serve only as the refrigerant, or to allow the fire extinguishing gas to be sprayed to the battery module where the fire has occurred to cool the surface of the battery module or directly extinguish the fire in the battery module.
