Reversible flow evaporator system
A reversible flow heat exchange system includes a heat exchanger system that includes a canister configured to receive a first fluid from a machine and a heat exchanger disposed within the canister. The reversible flow heat exchange system also includes a cooling system coupled to the heat exchanger and configured to circulate a second fluid between the heat exchanger system and the cooling system and a reversing valve coupled to the heat exchanger and configured to selectively direct a flow of the first fluid in a first direction through the canister and in a second direction through the canister that is opposite the first direction.
System And Method To Generate Steam By Mixing A Feed Water Stream With A Heating Medium
A system and method to generate steam from a feed water stream does so in a liquid pool zone of a vessel as the stream comes into contact with a heating medium that is less volatile than the feed water stream. To keep the pool hot, the heating medium can be recirculated through a heater of a pump-around loop or a heater can be placed in the liquid pool. As the feed water stream is vaporized or partially vaporized, any solids or unvaporized water present in the feed water stream come out of the stream and move into the heating medium. These solids and the unvaporized water may be further removed from the heating medium in the pool or in the pump-around loop. The heat exchange surface does not contact the feed water to generate steam.
Device for the exchange of heat between a first fluid intended to be vaporized and a second fluid intended to be cooled and/or condensed, and associated installation and method
The device comprises: a shell defining an interior volume to receive the first fluid extending along a longitudinal axis; a tube bundle arranged inside the shell, the tube bundle extending longitudinally in the interior volume to receive the second fluid; a disengagement member, able to perform liquid vapor separation in the fluid carried from the interior volume, the disengagement member being arranged above the tube bundle. In at least one plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, the disengagement member includes at least two separate fluid passage regions and at least one intermediate region preventing fluid from passing.
