TUBE HEADER FOR HEAT EXCHANGER
A tube header for a heat exchanger includes a header plate having two major dimensions defining a header plane. The header plate has a row of oblong passages extending through the header plate, and a plurality of tie bars. Each tie bar is arranged between a pair of adjacent oblong passages. At least one of the tie bars is a support tie bar with a generally W-shaped support tie bar profile in a cross-section across the row of oblong passages. The support tie bar has a center area forming a plateau surface parallel to the header plane and connecting two generally V-shaped portions of the support tie bar profile. The plateau surface supports an internal header baffle extending perpendicular to the header plane.
Exhaust gas heat exchanger with an oscillation attenuated bundle of exchanger tubes
A heat exchanger is disclosed for the exhaust gas train of a motor vehicle. The heat exchanger includes a bundle of separately formed exhaust gas carrying exchanger tubes that is disposed in a closed housing formed separately, a coolant flowing through the housing and around the outside of the exchanger tubes. A bandage is disposed on the bundle of exchanger tubes mechanically connecting a plurality of the exchanger tubes to militate against an oscillation of the exchanger tubes.
Heat exchanger with optimum baffle
A heat exchanger, in particular for a motor vehicle, including: a first conduit for a first fluid, including a first manifold, a second manifold, and a plurality of tubes arranged in at least two parallel stacks having a first terminal tube and a second terminal tube opposite to the first terminal tube, the tubes being fluidly connected with the first manifold and the second manifold to provide at least one U-turn for the first fluid; a second conduit for a second fluid including a housing body arranged to at least partially encapsulate the first conduit, wherein the second conduit is fluidly isolated from the first conduit and, a baffle plate deployed in-between the stacks of the tubes and the manifolds, enabling a U-turn of the second fluid in the vicinity of the first manifold, characterised in that, the baffle plate includes a first restricting member protruding towards the first manifold, configured to partially limit the U-turn of the second fluid at the level of the first terminal tubes of the stacks.
Heat transfer baffle system and uses thereof
This disclosure describes an improved heat transfer system for use in reaction vessels used in chemical and biological processes. In one embodiment, a heat transfer baffle comprising two sub-assemblies adjoined to one another is provided.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger comprising a chamber other than a coil is provided. The heat exchanger withstands high operating pressures and allows a reduction of fuel, avoiding the excessive generation of pollutants.
LIQUID COOLING PLATE
The present disclosure discloses a liquid cooling plate, including a plate body, wherein the plate body has a cavity forming a liquid cooling flow channel, wherein an elastic element is installed in the liquid cooling flow channel, wherein one side of the elastic element is attached to an inner wall of one side of the plate body, and the elastic element protrudes in a direction away from the side of the inner wall that the elastic element is attached to.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger (10) of heat pipe configuration for transferring heat between a first and second process streams via a heat transfer fluid comprises: at least one first process stream passage (19); at least one second process stream passage (29); and a shell (11) enclosing the first and second process stream passages (19, 29) within a volume (55). The volume (55), as a result of a heat transfer process, is fully filled with both vapour and liquid phases of the heat transfer fluid. The first and second process stream passages (19, 29) are spaced by a disengagement zone (50) enabling gravitational separation of said vapour and liquid phases and limiting accumulation of liquid phase heat transfer fluid about the first process stream passage(s) (19). Such heat exchangers can be used, among other applications, to replace a flash cooling stage in a Bayer process plant.
Heat exchanger tubes and tube assembly configurations
Embodiments include various water heaters. In one example, a water heater includes a burner, an exhaust vent, a corrugated baffle having a first slit having a first length and a second slit having a second length that is less than the first length, and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a first set of heat exchanger tubes arranged in a first row, and a second set of heat exchanger tubes arranged in a second row, the second set of heat exchanger tubes having a third tube having a first angled surface and a second angled surface, where the first angled surface and the second angled surface together form a fin. The third tube can be arranged such that the fin is disposed at least partially between the first curved outer surface and the second curved outer surface.
