Composite exhaust gas recirculation cooler
A cooler having a first component made of at least one of steel, stainless steel, plastic and ceramic. A second component may be made of aluminum, wherein the two components may be connected to each other in a connecting area via a friction stir weld joint.
METAL-CERAMIC COATING FOR HEAT EXCHANGER TUBES OF A CENTRAL SOLAR RECEIVER AND METHODS OF PREPARING THE SAME
Provided are metal-ceramic coatings for heat exchanger tubes of a central solar receiver and methods of preparing the same. The metal-ceramic coatings comprise at least one ceramic phase dispersed in a metal matrix and are disposed along the heat exchanger tubes to improve heat transfer and reduce oxidation of the heat exchanger tubes. Methods of preparing the metal-ceramic coatings and systems for using the same are provided.
HEAT EXCHANGER FOR COOLING ONE OR MORE ELECTRICAL OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The present invention relates to a heat exchanger device for cooling one or more electrical or electronic devices, wherein the electrical or electronic device generates heat that must be drained through an outer exchange surface. Improvement in heat transfer requires close contact between the surface of the device to be cooled and of the heat exchanger responsible for removing heat, and this close contact requires the application of large mechanical stresses. The exchanger is configured such that it improves robust response without reducing the exchange capacity with the electrical or electronic device. The present invention presents the advantages of energy efficiency and therefore has a relevant impact on the environment.
MATERIAL FOR JOINING AND PRODUCT PRODUCED THEREWITH
An iron-based braze filler alloy consists of from 9 wt % to 30 wt % Cr; from 5 wt % to 25 wt % Ni; from 0.5 wt % to 9 wt % Mo; from 1 wt % to 5 wt % Mn; from 0 wt % to 1 wt % N; from 6 wt % to 20 wt % Si; from 0.1 wt % to 15 wt % P; and is balanced with Fe.

TUBE SHEET PROTECTION IN A PROCESS GAS WASTE HEAT BOILER
The invention relates to a process gas waste heat boiler (PGWHB) of the single-pass and straight-tube type and having thin flexible tube sheets being provided with a weld overlay or cladding, particularly process gas waste heat boilers for the recovery of heat from a process gas, in which the process gas is synthesis gas exiting a steam reforming unit.
HEAT EXCHANGER ELEMENTS AND DIVICES
A heat exchanging element. The heat exchanging element is comprised of a plurality of spaced-apart through a common barrier, plates. The plates are capable of transmitting heat from a first end of said plates in contact with a heat source on one side of the common barrier, directly to a second end of the plates that are in contact with a heat sink on the opposite side of the common barrier.
SPIRAL LOUVER SHAPED CONDENSER WITH MULTILAYER SPATIAL STRUCTURE
A spiral louver shaped condenser includes fins and a refrigeration pipe. The fins are spirally wound around the outer wall of the refrigeration pipe at equal screw pitches. The fins are integrally formed by stamping a strip-shaped sheet material and at least comprise first heat-absorbing and heat-radiating bodies and second heat-absorbing and heat-radiating bodies. A broken line is arranged between adjacent heat-absorbing and heat-radiating bodies, and each heat-absorbing and heat-radiating body forms a wavy structure. Relative wave crests and wave troughs are formed at each broken line between the adjacent heat-absorbing and heat-radiating bodies, and the wave crests and wave troughs formed by all the broken lines of the adjacent heat-absorbing and heat-radiating bodies form a honeycomb structure together. The wavy edges of the first heat-absorbing and heat-radiating bodies make contact with the outer wall of the refrigeration pipe in a spirally-wound mode at equal screw pitches.
Single mounting cast iron or copper stave cooler
All of a cast-iron or cast-copper stave cooler's weight is supported inside a furnace containment shell by single gas-tight steel collar on the backside. All the coolant piping in each cooler has every external connection collected and routed together through the one steel collar. A wear protection barrier is disposed on the hot face. Such is limited to include at least one of horizontal rows of ribs and channels that retain metal inserts or refractory bricks, or pockets that assist in the retention of castable cement and/or accretions frozen in place from a melt, or an application of an area of hardfacing that is welded on in bead, crosshatch, or weave pattern.
Multi-segmented tube sheet
A heat exchanger that is constructed with a heat exchanger shell having inlet and outlet plenums and fluid inlet and outlet ports, and a tube sheet construction disposed in the heat exchanger shell. The tube sheet construction includes at least two separate tube sheets and a plurality of tubes that extend between the separate tube sheets. Each tube sheet includes at least two planar tube sheet segments and a interstitial layer disposed between the at least two tube sheet segments, and at least one sensor element supported by each of the interstitial layers. A control monitor controls flow through the shell by a feedback control from the sensor to an inlet control valve and/or a stimulus device excites the media layer. In an alternate embodiment opposed position sensor elements may be provided at opposite sides of the tube sheet construction.
