Adjustable Gas Block
20220049913 · 2022-02-17 ·

A system for an adjustable gas block. The gas block body has a main chamber fluidly coupled to a gas aperture which is fluidly connected to a plunger channel and a gas return path. Downstream of the gas block body is a plunger assembly which includes a ring and a plunger. Further downstream is an adjustment knob which is coupled to the gas block body and which is adjustable upstream and downstream relative to the gas block body. The volume of plunger inserted into the channel path is controlled by the adjustment knob.

SYSTEM FOR A MULTI-CALIBER SELF-LOADING ACTION ASSEMBLY
20220307782 · 2022-09-29 ·

System for a multi-caliber self-loading action. Specifically, the system is comprised of a multi-position locking assembly and a self-regulating gas assembly. The multi-position locking assembly is comprised of a bolt carrier, a spring, a bolt, a lock, and a cam assembly. The cam assembly will interface between the bolt carrier and the bolt to rotate the bolt through the bolt carrier. The lock will interface with the bolt, to lock the bolt in at least one locked position based on the caliber of the round inserted. The self-regulating gas assembly directs gas from the gas regulation to at least one piston cup, which will then cause the piston to act on the multi-position locking assembly.

GAS BLOCK FOR A FIREARM
20220307783 · 2022-09-29 ·

A gas block for AR-platform firearms is provided which is easier to install and index on a barrel of the firearm by utilizing a wedge (e.g., collet) system. The body of the gas block may therefore be relatively precisely circular, allowing for easy movement into position on the barrel of the firearm. The gas block is stronger, tighter, more durable, and more reliably stays in place than prior art gas blocks. In one embodiment, the gas block eliminates forward gas leakage from between the gas block and barrel. The gas block is interchangeable with standard prior art gas blocks commonly found on barrels of existing AR-platform firearms. The gas block is also compatible with low profile and MLOK handguards for AR-platform firearms.

Gas piston firearm system and method

Provided is a firearm gas operating system. A gas block includes a cylinder housing. A gas actuation piston in the cylinder housing reciprocates between forward and rearward positions and has a head portion with a recess. A switchable gas control valve is insertable into the forward end of the cylinder housing and includes a central passageway open at forward and rear ends. A tubular extension open at opposite ends extends axially rearward from the gas control valve and is configured to be received by the piston head portion recess. Gas pressure diverted from the barrel causes the piston to reciprocate from its forward position, where the head portion recess extends over the tubular extension, to its rearward position, where the head portion recess disengages from the tubular extension, allowing gas to exhaust through the tubular extension and forward end of the control valve to atmosphere.

TACTICAL RIFLE

A tactical combat rifle includes a two-part, bolt carrier. The upper part of the bolt carrier rides on rails formed in an upper receiver while the lower part of the bolt carrier, although attached to the upper part and moving with it, engages no supporting surfaces. A piston, driven by combustion gases from a regulatable gas block assembly, strikes the upper bolt carrier in the center of its mass to propel it rearward. The barrel is threaded to a removable barrel extension and secured to the upper receiver. A non-reciprocating charging handle is located far forward and accessible from either side of the upper receiver so the user does not have to lower the rifle from the shoulder or take eyes off the target. Combustion debris is kept away from the lower receiver and bolt so operation is cleaner and cycling rates of fire steadier.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN AND COMPONENTS THEREOF

A semiautomatic shotgun comprising a receiver, a barrel, a forward gas block assembly attached to the barrel, a slider assembly rearward of the gas block assembly extending into the receiver. Upon firing a shotshell the explosive gases in the barrel are diverted through two ports into the gas block assembly, specifically into a pair of lateral pressure relief valves positioned on both sides of the barrel. The pressure relief valves further having a gas pathway from the barrel provided by clusters of holes less than a specific size and on-center with the barrel axis. A piston is forced rearwardly and engages a slider of the slider assembly that is linked to a breech block in the receiver. The breech block loads unfired shells and ejects the fired shells accomplishing the semiautomatic recycling. The dual pressure relief valves actuate to moderate and limit the gas pressure that enters the piston chamber when using shotshells of different power levels thereby providing consistency in the recycling operation. The shotgun assembled with a plurality of retention pins having uniformly sized O-rings.
