Magazine of a pistol for cartridges with a case rim, and pistol having such a magazine
A magazine of a pistol for cartridges with a case rim, having a hollow magazine body for accommodating the cartridges in two vertically offset rows, a base plate, a feeder, which is guided in a displaceable manner in the magazine body, and a compression spring between the feeder and the base plate, wherein the upper end region of the magazine body forms a narrowing, in which the two rows of cartridges are guided together to form a single row. In order to ensure a reliable feed of the cartridges despite the case rim, in the longitudinal center the side walls have inwardly directed beads which run over the entire height of the side walls and merge, in the upper region, into converging guide ribs, and the feeder forms a bearing surface, which is convex in the longitudinal direction and on which a cartridge located thereon can alter its angle of inclination in relation to the horizontal.

Intrinsically safe firearm
An intrinsically safe firearm may include a handle and a frame connected by a pivot pin. One or more latches of the firearm can temporarily fix the firearm in a stowed orientation or a deployed orientation. In the deployed orientation, a magazine of the firearm can be removed from the handle; a slide of the firearm can be removed from the frame; a magazine safety allows a firing pin to strike a primer of a round in the firearm; and a trigger of the firearm is accessible to discharge the round in the firearm. In the stowed orientation, the magazine is not removable from the handle; the slide is not removable from the frame; the magazine safety prevents the firing pin from striking the primer; and the trigger of the firearm is not accessible.
Magazine having spacer with detent fastener
An ammunition magazine for a firearm uses a spacer to extend the grip. The spacer is attached to the magazine's tube using a combined fastener and detent mechanism which acts between the magazine's butt plate and floor plate. The butt plate is attached to the magazine tube and the spacer is captured between the butt plate and floor plate.

Magazine with guard element
Magazines with guard elements have a tubular body having a lower end and an upper end and defining an interior space, the body having opposed lateral sidewalls, and opposed front and rear walls, at an intermediate portion along the length of the body between the upper and lower ends, a sidewall defining a magazine catch opening, the magazine catch opening having an upper limit including a downwardly-facing ledge surface configured to engage a latch, and a recessed guard element at the magazine catch opening configured to prevent intrusion of the firearm latch into the interior space. The recessed guard element may protrude into the interior space. The tubular body may have a wall thickness adjacent to the recessed guard element, and the recessed guard element may have the same wall thickness. The tubular body may be formed of an articulated sheet.

Firearm
A compact rifle-caliber firearm is provided herein comprising a receiver body, a barrel, and a grip. The barrel is coupled to the receiver body and extends in a forward direction relative to the receiver body. The barrel includes a bore and a bore axis. The grip is coupled to the receiver body and positioned rearward relative to the barrel. The grip is operable to accept a magazine sized for rifle cartridges. The grip includes a grip depth that is less than or equal to two inches. The compact rifle-caliber firearm may further include a magazine operable to be inserted into the grip and operable to receive rifle cartridges. An interior magazine depth may be less than a length of the rifle cartridges. Rifle cartridges positioned in the magazine may be angled relative to an uppermost cartridge.
