FIREARM MAGAZINE
A number of embodiments of a firearm are disclosed where the firearm includes a magazine configured to hold the bolt in an open position when the magazine is empty. In one embodiment, the firearm includes a bolt stop mechanism that moves between a first position where it allows the bolt to cycle between an open position and a closed position and a second position where it holds the bolt in the open position. The magazine is configured to actuate the bolt stop mechanism to the first position when the magazine is empty.
Automatic and semi-automatic handgun with magazine aligned and disposed beneath the barrel
A high capacity handgun/pistol is disclosed with a horizontally oriented magazine that is aligned with and disposed beneath the gun barrel. The magazine defines a plurality of hollow tubes arranged radially around a central axis about which the magazine can rotate automatically during operation of the handgun/pistol. The hollow tubes each contain a plurality of ammunition rounds, and can each be aligned with a loading tray one at a time, wherein a coil spring will push out a single round at a time onto the loading tray. The handgun uses a gun slide to load a new round into the chamber via the loading tray, and further enabling the loading tray to automatically rotate the magazine as each hollow tube becomes empty. Moreover, the slide will re-set a hammer to re-engage with a sear, after a pulled trigger releases the hammer to strike a firing pin. The handgun is further equipped with a selector switch enabling automatic and semi-automatic firing modes, wherein the semi-automatic firing mode can be further specified to select a three round burst fire mode. The handgun can also be configured with a simpler firing mode cam and fewer parts that limits it to semi-automatic firing mode. Additionally, the handgun barrel is separable and replaceable if the barrel becomes too hot after rapid fire.

A bolt hold open assembly for a rotary magazine may include a bolt hold open lever movable to a locked position to inhibit forward motion of the bolt after firing the last round of ammunition. The bolt hold open lever may be moved to the locked position by a bolt hold open riser that is activated by a paddle movable with the rotor assembly of the rotary magazine.

Toy projectile launcher and method of using same
A toy launcher for toy projectiles includes a drum having two concentric rings of holders with an angular offset between adjacent concentric rings, and motorized flywheels to launch the projectiles. The launcher also includes an assembly for pushing projectiles in the drum toward the flywheels for launch, including a separate pushing rod for each of the concentric rings to advance one projectile at a time toward the flywheels. Both pushing rods are simultaneously pushed when a trigger is pressed, but only one projectile at a time is launched because while one pushing rod advances a projectile, the other pushing rod is blocked by a structure on the drum. Successive presses of the trigger cause projectiles to be launched in an alternating sequence in which one projectile at a time is launched first from a first concentric ring, then from a second concentric ring, then from the first concentric ring.
