Projectile Launching Apparatus
20230251056 · 2023-08-10 ·

A projectile launching apparatus includes a linear motion converter driven by a motor, a piston coupled to the linear motion converter and reciprocally movable within a cylinder, a gas spring and a breech assembly. The piston, when actuated by the linear motion converter, may energize the gas spring, and after the gas spring is fully energized, the linear motion converter may release the piston. When the piston is released, the piston may compress a gas within the cylinder, which compressed gas may be communicated to a barrel of the breech assembly. The compressed gas may expand in the barrel of the breech assembly for launching a projectile that has been chambered in the barrel, with a high velocity.

PELLET GUN CONVERSION ADAPTER

An apparatus that modularly adapts gas blowback pellet guns to fire pellets from automatic electric gun pellet gun magazines. Embodiments comprise ones that route high-pressure air into a gas frame disposed in a GBB gun magazine well, without tapping either of the gun and the magazine. The apparatus contemplates alternative gas frames, each being at least one having a shape selected from a plurality of shapes adapted to engage the magazine wells of desired GBB guns. The apparatus comprises at least one magazine adapter that is modularly and alternately engageable and disengageable with the gas frame. The apparatus also contemplates alternative adapters, ones that are alternately engageable and disengageable with any of multiple alternative gas frames. The apparatus contemplates embodiments that are alternately disengageable from GBB guns without compromising the gun to receive GBB magazines directly, and ones which allow the HPA source connection to instead receive propulsion sources, comprising pre-compressed gases from a list comprising air reservoirs, compressed CO2 and green gas and other high-pressure gas reservoirs.

Pressurized gas launcher

Methods and systems are provided for a pressurized gas launcher. The pressurized gas launcher includes a pressure source providing a quantity of high-pressure gas, a launcher barrel having a first end and a second end having an opening, and a bladder. The bladder is housed within the launcher barrel and selectively fluidically coupled to the pressure source. When filled with pressurized gas, the bladder plastically deforms. The gas launcher further includes a projectile housed within the launcher barrel with the bladder positioned between the first end of the launcher barrel and the projectile. The projectile is dischargeable from the launcher barrel when the bladder ruptures when gas in the bladder exceeds a pressure threshold.

A compact improved bug killing gun includes a compressed gas source fluidly connected to a chamber connected to a barrel. A compressed gas release mechanism is connected to the compressed gas source. A projectile storage magazine stores particulate projectiles and is located adjacent the chamber. A projectile loading mechanism moves the projectiles into the chamber from the magazine. A cocking mechanism is mechanically connected to the compressed gas source, the compressed gas release mechanism, and the projectile loading mechanism. When the gun is cocked, the projectile loading mechanism loads a quantity of the particulate projectiles into the chamber. When the compressed gas release mechanism is activated the projectiles are ejected from the chamber into the barrel and expelled from the gun. The gun optionally includes a laser sighting mechanism. The battery operated laser sighting mechanism is removably attached to the barrel or permanently attached with an integral, trigger operated switch.
