Command control system, interceptor system, and command control method
A command control system includes an interception predicting section and an assigning section. The interception predicting section calculates a predicted intercept point of a target to be shot down and a guided missile to shoot down the target. The assigning section acquires first weather data of the predicted intercept point, and generates a launching instruction based on the first weather data so as to launch one of a first guided missile and a second guided missile as the guided missile. A method by which the first guided missile detects the target and a method by which the second guided missile detects the target are different.
Radio frequency/orthogonal interferometry projectile flight management to terminal guidance with electro-optical handoff
The system and method of projectile flight management using a combination of radio frequency orthogonal interferometry for the long range navigation and guidance of one or more projectiles and a short range navigation and guidance system to provide for more accurate targeting, especially in GPS-denied and GPS-limited environments.
Target recognition and tracking for a salvo environment
A follow-on object for use in a salvo mission in which one or more lead objects (LO) and a follow-on object track a target. A track state of a tracked object within a sensor field-of-view (FOV) of the follow-on object is initialized. Target-state estimator (TSE) processing based on sensor measurements from the sensor FOV is performed to maintain the track state of the tracked object. Kinematic characteristics of the tracked object are evaluated based on the sensor measurements to compute a probability that the tracked object is an LO based on the evaluated kinematic characteristics. If the probability is not greater than a threshold, the tracked object is designated as the target and TSE processing is resumed. Otherwise, the tracked object is designated as an LO and the track state is re-initialized and the track of the LO is excluded from some intercept task considerations.
DECISION ASSISTANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FIRING A PROJECTILE AT A TARGET
Disclosed is a decision assistance system (8) for firing a projectile at a target (4) mounted on a mobile carrier (1), the system comprising: a first simulator (10) for applying a process repeatedly to simulated data that represent a configuration of the carrier and a trajectory of the carrier between a first (T1) and a second (T2) instant, to develop a precision of a navigation solution of the associated carrier at the second instant (T2); a second simulator (12) for: a) being initialized with said precision, b) applying a process repeatedly to simulated data that represent a trajectory of the projectile between the second and a third instant (T3), in order to develop a precision of a navigation solution of the projectile (4) associated with the third instant (T3), and a selector (14) for either selecting the projectile or not (4) in order to fire on the target, according to the precision developed in step b).
Swarm navigation using follow the forward approach
The system and method of swarm navigation using a follow the forward approach. Using on-board sensors and communications links between members of a swarm, numerous targets can be engaged more quickly and precisely. In some cases, a designator is used to help a forward of the swarm navigate to a target using image-based navigation up until terminal guidance is used. A cascade of messages are projected back to a following round so that, each member of a swarm can determine a best target/round match and provide real-time, up-to-date information regarding targets' locations and each round's location, range to target, target selection, and the like.
Orthogonal interferometry artillery guidance and navigation
The system and method of projectile flight management using a combination of radio frequency orthogonal interferometry for the long range navigation and guidance of one or more projectiles and a short range navigation and guidance system to provide for more accurate targeting.

Machine to machine targeting maintaining positive identification
A method of targeting, which involves capturing a first video of a scene about a potential targeting coordinate by a first video sensor on a first aircraft; transmitting the first video and associated potential targeting coordinate by the first aircraft; receiving the first video on a first display in communication with a processor, the processor also receiving the potential targeting coordinate; selecting the potential targeting coordinate to be an actual targeting coordinate for a second aircraft in response to viewing the first video on the first display; and guiding a second aircraft toward the actual targeting coordinate; where positive identification of a target corresponding to the actual targeting coordinate is maintained from selection of the actual targeting coordinate.
SEAMLESS SMART MUNITIONS SYSTEM AND METHOD
Systems and methods for deploying smart munitions may provide targeting metadata generated by surveillance networks to munitions deployment and guidance systems for smart munitions. Targeting metadata may be received by a conduit system and automatically processed to generate guidance and deployment data actionable by a munitions deployment platform.
