A computer program, a computer system, and a weapons system are also provided.

OMNIDIRECTIONAL OPTRONIC SYSTEM HAVING TWO ROTATION AXES

An omnidirectional optronic system includes two axes of rotation, a carrier axis and a carried axis, that are perpendicular to each other, for an aircraft targeting pod, having an imaging channel and a laser channel, the laser channel at the point of injection at the entrance of the system and the imaging channel being concentric with the carrier axis, then split and emitted out in parallel.

Counter drone system

The system comprises a plurality of sensor systems, a counter drone, and a processor. A sensor system of the plurality of sensor systems comprises one or more sensors that are connected to a network. The counter drone is connected to the network. The processor is configured to receive an indication of a potential target from the plurality of sensor systems; generate a fused data set for the potential target, determine whether the potential target comprises the threat drone based at least in part on the fused data set; and in response to determining that the potential target comprises the threat drone, provide counter drone instructions to the counter drone.

Dual mode seeker

A dual mode R.F./IR seeker suitable for use in an anti-radiation missile is disclosed. The infrared sensor is responsive to radiation within the 4.0 to 4.8 micron band and the radio frequency sensor is responsive to radio frequency signals within a 6.5 to 16.5 GHz band. The infrared sensor comprises a folded Cassegrainian telescope arrangement, including a primary mirror which is transparent to radio frequency energy. The radio frequency sensor comprises an annular array of orthogonally disposed stripline flared notch radiating elements. A broadband microwave receiver, fabricated in a multilayered stripline package, is provided for forming radio frequency monopulse sum () and difference () signals and for converting such radio frequency monopulse signals to suitable intermediate frequency signals for processing in an I.F. receiver. The infrared and radio frequency sensors share a common aperture and optical axis.

The invention relates to a method for protecting an object, in particular a land vehicle or watercraft, in particular a ship, from of a radar-guided missile by deploying and using an active offboard reflector, which is arranged at a decoy and comprises at least one receiving antenna and at least one transmitting antenna, wherein a radar signal transmitted by the radar-guided missile is picked up and is returned to the missile as an amplified signal in the previously ascertained opposite direction of reception; the invention proposes carrying out the method by deploying a plurality of flying drones, each having at least one active offboard reflector, and positioning the drones relative to one another in space in such a way that the active offboard reflectors thereof act as individual scattering centers and the signals therefrom that are returned to the missile collectively produce a radar scatter pattern that simulates the object to be protected.

Hyper hemisphere unitary dome for a defensive infrared countermeasure system

A counter measure system is provided having a unitary infrared transparent dome including a look angle greater than 180. The dome has two hemispherical regions, with a second region having a truncated bottom end defining an opening to a central cavity inside which electro-optical elements are disposed. The electro-optical elements can view outward through the dome at the look angle. The second region on the dome has a complementary curvature as the first region by continuing a similar radius beyond a transverse horizontal axis or equator. The dome is mounted to a base, which also may be referred to as a bezel. The base defines a rabbet extending circumferentially about the base imaginary center defining an aperture. The base and the dome are formed from different materials but have equivalent coefficients of thermal expansion. In one embodiment the dome if formed from sapphire and the base is titanium.

Flexure-based, tip-tilt-piston actuation micro-array

A flexure-based micro-array having a plurality of micro-assemblies, each comprising: an object; and at least three electrostatic actuation modules for tipping, tilting, and/or piston-actuating the object, each actuation module comprising: a base with first and second electrodes electrically isolated from each other; an electrically conductive lever arm; a first flexure bearing suspending the lever arm adjacent the first and second electrodes so that electrical activation of at least one of the first and second electrodes produces an electrostatic moment of force on the lever arm to resiliently bias the first flexure bearing and pivot the lever arm about a fulcrum; and a second flexure bearing connecting the lever arm to the object at a connection location that is different from other connection locations of the other actuation modules so that pivoting the lever arm about the fulcrum induces the second flexure bearing to pivot the object about an object pivot axis defined between two of the other connection locations while the second flexure bearing decouples the lever arm from object displacements induced by two of the other actuation modules connected to the two other connection locations defining the object pivot axis, wherein the plurality of micro-assemblies are arranged with the objects juxtaposed in a substantially 2D array.
