FIREARM SCOPE MOUNT
Disclosed is a scope mount for a firearm that can be used for firing different types of ammunition without having to re-zero the scope when switching from one type of ammunition to another. The scope mount can include a base and a chassis pivotally mounted to the base. The chassis adjusts both elevation and windage alignments of the scope with respect to the base. Also disclosed is a method of operating a scope assembly mounted to a firearm, including the steps of setting a handle of the scope mount to a rested position corresponding to a first type of ammunition, zeroing the scope when the handle is in the rested position; moving the handle to an engaged position corresponding to a second type of ammunition different from the first type of ammunition; and zeroing the scope when the handle is in the engaged position.
Shock Attenuation Device and Method Using a Pivot Mechanism
A system and method for a weapon accessory mount is disclosed. The weapon accessory mount is configured to attach a weapon accessory to a rail of a weapon configured to fire a projectile in a projectile path. A flexure is configured to receive the weapon accessory. The flexure includes a first end attached to the rail at a first pivot portion, and a second end opposite the first end attached to the rail at a second portion. The first pivot portion is configured to convert at least a portion of energy of a shock recoil from the weapon from translational energy to rotational energy, the second pivot portion has a similar functionality to the first pivot portion.
Firearm accessory mount
A firearm accessory includes a firearm attachment portion that is configured to attach to a firearm. The firearm attachment portion defines a barrel passage that defines a barrel passage axis. The barrel passage is configured to receive at least a portion of a firearm barrel. The firearm accessory includes an accessory mounting portion that is pivotally attached to the firearm attachment portion. The accessory mounting portion is movable between an open position and a closed position. When in the open position, the accessory mounting portion is positioned away from the barrel passage, and when in the closed position, the accessory mounting portion is positioned at least partially around the barrel passage.
Device for establishing or releasing a coupling
A device is provided for establishing or releasing the coupling between an adjustment ring, which can be rotated on a base element by way of a detent mechanism and is provided with an adjustment shaft for optical elements, and a cylindrical index ring, which is inserted between the adjustment ring and the base element so as to rotate in relation to an index mark provided on the base element, wherein an inwardly directed ring surface is integrally formed on the edge of the index ring pointing toward the adjustment ring, at least one friction element under spring pressure is inserted between the adjustment ring and the ring surface, and the spring pressure can be removed by way of a pressure element inserted into the top face of the adjustment ring or by way of a lever mechanism.
Flip sight systems for firearms
Flip sight systems having multiple configurations for use with firearms in accordance with various embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a flip sight system is provided, comprising: a front sight assembly comprising: a front base, a front pivot joint; and a front sight; a rear sight assembly comprising: a rear base, a rear pivot joint, and a rear sight; wherein the flip sight system includes a first deployed configuration where the front sight and the rear sight are offset to the attached optics such that the flip sight system operates as primary sights for close range targets, a second deployed configuration where the front sight and the rear sight are in-line with the attached optics such that the flip sight system operates as co-witness or backup sights to the attached optics, a first collapsed configuration for storage, and a second collapsed configuration for storage.
Dual adjustable mounting shoe
A dual-adjustable mounting shoe has a shoe body. A middle portion of the shoe body has at least one pocket formed therein. At least one pocket insert is positioned at least partially within the pocket. The pocket insert has a raised tooth positioned along a rear of the shoe body and a forward edge positioned along a front of the shoe body, wherein the at least one pocket insert is movable relative to the shoe body to adjust a position of at least one of the raised tooth and the forward edge relative to the shoe body. At least one fastener is engageable with the at least one pocket insert to secure the at least one pocket insert in a stationary position at least partially within the pocket. The dual-adjustable mounting shoe is usable with both a rear-indexing receptacle and a forward-indexing receptacle.
Mounts for optical sighting devices
Disclosed are implementations of a pivot mount for an optical sighting device. A sight support member of the pivot mount is moveable between an operative position, in which an optical sighting device can be used to sight the firearm on a target, and an inoperative position, in which the optical sighting device is vertically offset below the operative position.
Sight
A sight includes a main body, an erecting unit, and a first adjusting element. The erecting unit includes a second magnetically attractable element and movably disposed within the main body. The first adjusting element includes a first magnetically attractable element and is movably disposed on the main body. The first adjusting element extends into the main body and against the erecting unit. The first magnetically attractable element attracts the second magnetically attractable element so that the first adjusting element contacts the erecting unit. The first adjusting element is rotatable to move the erecting unit in a first direction.
Mounts for optical sighting devices
Disclosed are mounts for optical sighting devices. One example optical sight mount includes an integrated backup sighting system. The optical sight mount is configured to position an optical sighting device on a firearm so that it can be used to aim the firearm. Further, the backup sighting system can be used to aim the firearm should the optical sighting device fail or otherwise be rendered inoperable.
Pivotal Tactical Lights for Firearms
A light apparatus for firearms can pivot between a safety position and a shooting position. In the safety position, a light mounted to the firearm can point straight ahead at a target, while the firearm's barrel is pointed downward. In the shooting position, both the light and the barrel point in the same direction. In some examples, the light is supported by a gun mounting member that is fastened to the underside of the firearm, while the light is offset to one side of the barrel. In some examples, the light is connected to a foregrip, so the light and the foregrip can pivot together as a unit relative to the barrel. Some examples of the light apparatus include various devices for holding the light at the safety and/or shooting position.
