Insert Made of a Textile Fabric
The disclosure relates to an insert (5) made of a textile fabric for being received in a jacket wall of a cylindrical case (6) made of a combustible, felted fibrous material, wherein in particular embodiments the textile fabric includes one, several, or a plurality of yarns which along a longitudinal direction (L) of the insert form a plurality of mesh rows (18) which each include a plurality of meshes (19, 20, 21) that extend in a circumferential direction (U) of the insert.
Power charge with exposed propellant
A power charge (12) for a setting tool is composed of a propellant (16) and an igniter (32) embedded in the propellant (16). The propellant (16) is a homogeneous mixture of combustible components, an oxidizer and an epoxy binder, which together provide a continuous mass of solid form. The propellant (16) has an exterior (14) which, together with an outward face (36) of the igniter (32), is exposed and provides the outer surface of the power charge (12). A protuberant rib (28) extends along the length of the exterior (14) in a spiral-shaped pattern and provides a stand-off spacer between the power charge (12) and the setting tool. The igniter (32) has a main body portion (52) and an annular-shaped protrusion (48) which extends laterally outward from the main body portion (52) and into the propellant (16) to retain the igniter (32) within the propellant (16). The entire power charge (12) is formed of combustible materials.
Propellant charge container
The disclosure relates to a charge container device, said charge container device having a volume suitable to substantially fill a barrel chamber, said charge container device is formed from a substantially rigid and combustible material, wherein said charge container device comprises at least one wall to define a cavity for the retention of at least one cartridge case, said at least one cartridge case comprising an energetic material, wherein said at least one cartridge case is arranged in a stacked formation within said charge container, the charge container device further comprising a base portion and a top portion, wherein the top portion comprises an aperture to allow for expulsion of energy and the base portion comprising an ignition means.

Method for manufacturing a housing enclosing a pyrotechnic load
A method for manufacturing a housing enclosing a pyrotechnic charge and an installation for implementing this method includes inserting a pyrotechnic charge into a charging volume laterally delimited by a rigid cylindrical charging wall and into a lower part by a first element of the housing to be obtained; positioning a second element of the housing to be obtained of cylindrical shape above the inserted pyrotechnic charge and in the extension of the cylindrical charging wall. The second element has a lateral cylindrical wall of the same shape and diameter as the cylindrical charging wall and is able to cooperate with the first element, and jointly translating the second element and the cylindrical charging wall relative to the first element such as to make the second element cooperate with the first element and form the housing enclosing the pyrotechnic charge.
Case jacket
A case jacket made of a felted, in particular combustible fibrous material, comprising a cylindrical case jacket portion and a calotte-shaped case bottom which is connected to an end of the cylindrical case jacket portion, wherein the bottom-side end of the case jacket portion has a first inside diameter and a first outside diameter, and wherein the case bottom has an annular connecting edge towards the case jacket portion, which has a second inside diameter that is smaller than the first inside diameter, and a second outside diameter which is smaller than the second outside diameter, includes a conical connecting portion whose one end has the first inside diameter and the first outside diameter and is connected to the bottom-side end of the case jacket portion, and whose other end has the second inside diameter and the second outside diameter and is connected to the connecting edge of the case bottom, wherein the angle of inclination of the inner wall and the angle of inclination of the outer wall of the conical connecting portion with respect to the cylinder axis are not more than 10?.
