Special cartridge (variants)
09810512 · 2017-11-07 ·

The invention relates to a weapon intended for fighting games, mainly for paintball, namely to special cartridges containing painting liquid. The special cartridge contains a cartridge case 1 that includes a propellant charge 2, a projectile 3 and a primer cap 4. The cartridge case 1 has inside a rigidly fixed nozzle 5 (variants 1, 3) for supplying a portion of the gas stream at the projectile 3 or a solid partition 7 (variant 2). The cylindrical cartridge case body 1 is provided with holes 6 on the side of the primer cap 4 that are intended to direct the gas flow (variants 1-3); in addition, the mouth of the cartridge case is also provided with holes 8 for directing the gas flow (variants 2, 3). The areas of the holes of the nozzle 5 and the total surfaces of the holes 6 and 8 are of different size. To carry out firing process, the primer cap 4 is impacted, which ignites the propellant charge 2; the larger portion of the gas stream formed during combustion of the propellant is directed through the holes 6 in the weapon bore, thus creating a main effect of shot (sound, flame). The lesser gas stream formed by combustion of the propellant charge 2 is directed to the projectile 3 and imparts to it the required acceleration, while maintaining the integrity of its shape and volume. The projectile 3 is made as a tagging one; a bead that is identical to that used in a paintball game can be used as such a projectile. Furthermore, the projectile 3 is designed as a container, inside which any filler, for example, an antiseptic agent, can be located.

Aerodynamic projectile

A projectile has a front portion, a divider and a cylindrical portion. The front portion has a wall defining an interior cavity, which is closed by the divider. The cylindrical portion comprises a cylindrical sidewall having an outer surface and an inner surface. The projectile also has a plurality of depressions in the cylindrical sidewall. The depressions have an outlet adjacent the second end, an inlet toward the first end and a neck area between the inlet and the outlet. A width of the inlet is smaller than a width of the outlet. The depressions at the neck area have a curved sidewall, but a generally straight sidewall between the neck area and the outlet. The surface of the depression extends at a ramp angle from the outer surface of the sidewall at the inlet of the depression toward the inner surface of the sidewall at the outlet.

A projectile launching system can include a projectile launcher and a projectile. The projectile launcher can include at least one barrel, a projectile, a firing pin mechanism, an activator, and a power system. The barrel can extend along a longitudinal axis between first and second ends, with an exit port at the second end. The projectile can be positioned in the barrel and include primer, propellant, and a sub-projectile. The firing pin mechanism can be selectively project into the barrel to engage the primer, whereby the propellant is ignited and the projectile is launched out of the barrel. The activator can be engaged with the firing pin mechanism and engageable by a user to control the firing pin mechanism. The power system can rotate the barrel or the projectile as the firing pin mechanism is projecting into the barrel and engaging the primer of the projectile.

PRACTICE AMMUNITION AND TRAINING SYSTEM USING THE PRACTICE AMMUNITION

The invention relates to programmable practice ammunition. For this purpose, a projectile head of a practice projectile of the practice ammunition has at least one electronic system in the form of an electronic fuze replacement system and a signal transmitter. Optionally, an explosive charge can be introduced into the projectile head. The explosive charge is preferably a pyrotechnic. A light signal, an infrared signal, a radio signal, or another suitable electronic or optical signal, even a color signal, can be output and transmitted via the signal transmitter. Optionally, the explosive charge can be triggered and deployed via the signal transmitter. The projectile is provided with radial openings for this purpose. The invention additionally relates to a training system for a realistic practice using an explosive representation at the target or in the target area.

A method of encapsulating content with calcium alginate membrane to form a capsule. The method includes embedding sodium alginate into a traditional gelatin ribbon used in gelatin encapsulation, adding calcium to a fill material, encapsulating the fill material, and then denaturing the gelatin in the shell. An exemplary use of this method is to form throwable paintballs; however, other products could be formed using this process. A paintball formed by this process is also disclosed.
