The hydraulic oil control valve includes a sleeve, a spool slidably moving in an axial direction within the sleeve, and a filter member configured to capture foreign matters contained in the hydraulic oil. The sleeve includes an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve defining therein an axial hole extending in the axial direction. A space between the axial hole and the inner sleeve in a radial direction serves as a hydraulic oil supply passage. The filter member is disposed in the space to overlap with at least one of internal members in the inner sleeve when viewed in the radial direction.

LOST MOTION ROCKER BRAKE BIASING AND STROKE LIMITING SYSTEMS

Systems for valve actuation in internal combustion engines provide for control of rocker arms and other valvetrain components by utilizing biasing and stroke limited components. Such features may be implemented in any valvetrain component, including e-foot assemblies or pushrod assemblies. The biasing component may bias the cam side of a lost motion rocker toward the cam. The components may be extendable to permit a biasing mechanism to keep the valvetrain components in a controlled position at all times. Stroke limiting features may facilitate the formation of small gaps between valvetrain components during the engine cycle for improved lubrication. Stroke limiting features may also retain valvetrain components in an assembled configuration even when not installed in an engine or valve actuation system.

VALVE TIMING CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

Provided are: a rear plate 13 enclosing an axial end opening of a housing body; a lock pin 30 configured to travel forward and backward in a slide hole formed in a first vane of a vane member; and an annular lock-hole-forming part 31 press-fitted to a retaining hole 13c in an inner end surface of the rear plate, forming a lock hole 32 therein. A projection 35 having a flat distal end surface 35a is formed at one circumferential end side of an inner peripheral surface of the lock-hole-forming part, and recesses 37, 37 continuous with the inner peripheral surface of the lock hole are formed on corresponding sides of the projection in the circumferential direction of the lock hole. This ensures smooth engagement of the locking pin in the lock hole, and enables smooth supply and drainage of hydraulic pressure to and from the lock hole.

A fixture assembly includes a primary gage member, camshaft gages, a crankshaft gage and an engine gage, all of which have planar datum surfaces that are each dimensionally located relative to the primary gage member planar datum surface. The engine gage includes an engine datum surface, and is sized and shaped to receive, support and dimensionally locate the engine. An engine block datum surface is configured to be positioned on the engine datum surface thereby locating the engine relative to the primary gage member datum surface. The primary, first, second and engine datum surfaces are fixed in a parallel relationship to each other so as to form a parallel alignment system such that when the fixture assembly datum surfaces engage and form parallel alignment with the corresponding engine datum surfaces, the camshafts and crankshaft are angularly located in a predetermined angular orientation for proper timing of the engine assembly.
