Valve train assembly
A type II valve train assembly that selectively opens first and second intake valves and first and second exhaust valves is provided. The valve train assembly includes an intake rocker arm assembly and an exhaust rocker arm assembly. The valve train assembly is configurable for operation in any combination of activated and deactivated states of engine braking and cylinder deactivation. The exhaust rocker arm assembly includes a first exhaust rocker arm, a second exhaust rocker arm and an engine brake exhaust rocker arm. A first exhaust HLA is associated with the first exhaust rocker arm. A second exhaust HLA is associated with the second exhaust valve. An exhaust actuation assembly selectively actuates to alter travel of the first and second exhaust HLA's to change a state of cylinder deactivation between activated and deactivated.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LASH ADJUSTMENT AND CYLINDER DEACTIVATION FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
Valve actuation mechanisms are provided for hydraulically controlling cylinder deactivation and variable valve lift operations. The valve actuation mechanisms include a hydraulic circuit that is selectively pressurized to secure a reciprocating member in an extended position to transfer motion from the camshaft lobe to the intake valves or exhaust valves, and vented to allow the reciprocating member to reciprocate.

Actuation apparatus
An actuation transmission apparatus for actuating a component of a switchable valve train device of an internal combustion engine includes: a shaft rotatable by an actuation source; a contacting element for contacting the component of the switchable valve train device; and a biasing device for biasing the contacting element rotationally with respect to the shaft; wherein, in use, the biasing device becomes biased by the shaft when the actuation source rotates the shaft when the actuation source attempts to actuate the component of the switchable valve train device, via the contacting element, when the component of the switchable valve train device is not able to be actuated, whereby the biasing device is configured to cause the contacting element to actuate the component of the switchable valve train device when the component of the switchable valve train device becomes actuatable again.
Valve mechanism, engine and vehicle
A valve mechanism includes a valve, a camshaft, an intermediate swing arm located between a cam and the valve, a lift regulating mechanism and a roller assembly. The cam drives the valve to move by means of the intermediate swing arm. The roller assembly is supported by the cam, an eccentric wheel of the lift regulating mechanism and an intermediate swing arm roller. A peripheral surface of the eccentric wheel includes a lift regulating section having a start point and an end point, a maximum lift point of the lift regulating section is located between the start point and the end point, and the lift regulating section is divided into a first section which is convex and a second section having at least a part thereof concave.
Hydraulic support element
This disclosure relates to a hydraulic support element for a switchable rocker arm of a valve train of an internal combustion engine. The hydraulic support element includes a cup-shaped cylinder, within which a hollow piston is arranged in an axially displaceable manner. The piston includes a filter cartridge which is in the form of a hollow body and can be charged from the outside with pressurized oil and an interior space of which is connected to an outlet opening of the contact head. An interior space of the piston has two pressurized oil chambers, including a first pressurized oil chamber above the piston head and connected to a first pressurized oil feed, and a second pressurized oil chamber formed under the contact head and connected to a second pressurized oil feed. The filter cartridge is tubular and located in the second pressurized oil chamber.
Window and/or door fitting
The invention relates to a fitting (1) for actuating a mechanism in a door or window, which has a handle (10) that is rotatably supported in or on a stop element (20) about an axis of rotation (D), wherein the stop element (20) can be fastened to the door or window, a drive pin (40) for actuating the mechanism in the door or window, a coupling element (50) for coupling the handle (10) to the drive pin (40), and a blocking device (70), which blocks the actuation of the drive pin (40) about the axis of rotation (D) when in the blocking position (A), wherein the blocking device (70) can be moved to a releasing position (B) through an axial actuation of the handle from a first position to a second position along the axis of rotation (D). In order to ensure increased security against unauthorized actuation of the fitting or the mechanism connected to the fitting in the window or door, and to obtain a fitting that is easy to manipulate and inexpensive to produce, the handle (10) is decoupled from the drive pin (40) in the first position (I), wherein the blocking device (70) is then in the blocking position (A), and the coupling element (50) couples the handle (10) and the drive pin (40) in the second position, and keeps the blocking device (70) in the releasing position (B). When the second position is reached, the handle is coupled to the drive pin, and unlocks it for the actuation of the mechanism.

Passageways suitable for oil cooling of the electromagnet are formed through and inside the rocker arm. In some embodiments, oil for cooling is supplied through a pivot. In some embodiments, oil for cooling is obtained from oil splash. Oil cooling may allow modes of operation such as of dynamic cylinder deactivation and dynamic variable valve actuation to be used without overheating the electromagnet.
