A method and apparatus for producing popping candy which is formed in molds. A reactor with one or more trays holds the product and one or more moveable transmission mechanisms and one or more lids provided at each end of the reactor act as inlets and outlets. One or more two way valves regulate and maintain inside pressure of the reactor and cooling and heating mechanisms are provided.

Ultrasonic rotary molding

The present disclosure describes an ultrasonic rotary molding system that is used to form edible compositions or food products as they move along a conveyor belt. The food products are formed by an ultrasonic rotary wheel that includes one or more cutting tools that cut, and perhaps three dimensionally mold, food product strips. The system may include a movable backing plate that is located below the point where the ultrasonic rotary wheel cuts the food product strips. The movable backing plate may be spring loaded and it may exert force upwards against the conveyor belt and in turn against the food product.

The mold and cutter combination comprises an elastic mold cavity having an elastic bottom wall with an embossed inner surface and an elastic sidewall extending from and unitary with a perimeter of the bottom wall. An elastic cutting blade extends from and is unitary with the sidewall of the mold cavity and is configured to cut moldable material and maintain a substantially consistent perimeter upon cutting. The cutting blade comprises a cutting edge disposed between an inner cutting blade surface and an outer cutting blade surface. The mold and cutter combination may have an elasticity sufficient to release molded material therefrom by hand stretching, wherein the cutting edge, inner cutting blade surface, and the inner surface of the sidewall of the mold cavity are stretched by an amount sufficient to release the molded material.

The pump directs the substance from the container to a housing. The housing includes a first removable component with first openings that define a first pattern. The first removable component is replaceable with a second removable component defining second openings that define a second pattern different from the first pattern. The pump directs the substance through the first openings such that the substance forms a first pattern on a surface positioned proximate to the housing that is based on the first pattern of the first removable component.

A countertop candy making apparatus includes an ingredient staging section, a heating and mixing vessel downstream from the ingredient staging section, a cooling chamber downstream from the heating and mixing vessel, and a removable molding tray in the cooling chamber. Candy making ingredients are delivered from the ingredient staging section to the heating and mixing vessel where those ingredients are heated and mixed to form a candy formulation before being delivered into the molding tray in the cooling chamber.
