A vehicle exhaust evacuation system includes an adapter secured to an end of a vehicle tailpipe and a nozzle assembly secured to the end of a flexible hose for carrying vehicle exhaust outside of a building. The nozzle assembly has an aluminum cartridge removably secured in a rubber boot. Magnet assemblies are secured to the aluminum cartridge. Openings in the adapter allow ambient air to flow over the magnet assemblies to lengthen the life of the magnets.

Floating load ring for flexible joint

A free-floating load ring for assembly into a flexible coupling having a convoluted bellows and a surrounding mesh sleeve, the ring captured by the sleeve at an end of the coupling and spacing the sleeve from the bellows when forces are applied to the coupling. Various rings can be added to existing non-load supporting or flexible couplings having no previous rings. The load ring is retained in place by engagement of coupling components with the ring without physical connection of the ring to any coupling component.

After-treatment system for repower locomotives

An SCR after-treatment system for a locomotive engine includes an enclosure defining an exhaust flow path from an inlet to an outlet, the inlet being flexibly connected to an exhaust outlet of the engine, an injector located in the inlet and configured to provide an aerosolized reductant into the exhaust flow path, a mixing tube extending from the inlet into the enclosure towards a back wall of the enclosure; a plurality of catalyst cells extending parallel to the mixing tube; the exhaust flow path traveling through the plurality of catalyst cells between the mixing tube and the outlet, and a side channel located between the mixing tube and the plurality of catalyst cells. The enclosure is configured to create low back pressure and an even distribution of the exhaust flow path across the plurality of catalyst cells.

FLEXIBLE JOINT STRUCTURE FOR EXHAUST PIPE

A flexible joint structure for an exhaust pipe, mainly used inside vehicle exhaust pipes, including a bellows and a braided hose that are arranged coaxially in sequence from the inside to the outside, wherein the braided hose includes at least two segments, and both ends of each segment are fixedly connected to the bellows at the inner side by means of a fixing member, and the length of each section of the braided hose is less than or equal to 200 mm. The flexible joint structure of the exhaust pipe according to the present disclosure has increased damping performance, which can improve the NVH performance of the entire vehicle.

EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR A WORK VEHICLE

An exhaust system with a multipiece heat shield for a work vehicle includes a first shield part and a second shield part. The first shield part surrounds an aftertreatment unit for aftertreating exhaust gases. The first shield part extends in an axial direction. The second shield part surrounds an exhaust tailpipe with radial spacing between the second shield part and the exhaust tailpipe. The second shield extends in the axial direction from the first shield part, wherein a radial gap between the first and second shield parts is sealed by a seal.

A cross-pipe exhaust assembly includes: a first inlet collector splitting into an upper outlet and a lower outlet; a second inlet collector splitting into an upper outlet and a lower outlet; a first outlet collector joining an upper inlet and a lower inlet into a single outlet; a second outlet collector joining an upper inlet and a lower inlet into a single outlet; a first inline conduit located between the first inlet collector and the first outlet collector; a second inline conduit located between the second inlet collector and the second outlet collector; a first crossover conduit between the lower outlet or upper outlet of the first inlet collector and the upper inlet or lower inlet; and a second crossover conduit extending between the lower outlet or the upper outlet and the upper inlet or lower inlet of the first outlet collector.

Assembly and method for braking the displacement of a tailpipe cover

An assembly for braking the displacement of a tailpipe cover is disclosed. The assembly has a clamping element with an elastic material, a tailpipe, and a tailpipe cover. The clamping element is arranged at least indirectly on the tailpipe and on the tailpipe cover. A section of the clamping element extends over the tailpipe in the axial direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tailpipe cover. The distance between the longitudinal axis and the clamping element is designed to be at least partly shorter than the distance between the longitudinal axis and the tailpipe in said clamping element section. Alternatively or in addition thereto, at least one section of the clamping element is arranged at least indirectly against the tailpipe in an immovable manner in the direction of the longitudinal axis.

Arrangement and method for fastening a tailpipe cover

An arrangement for fastening a tailpipe cover to a tailpipe is disclosed. The arrangement has a tailpipe cover, a tailpipe and a bracket. The bracket is arranged on the tailpipe cover. The tailpipe cover can be latched here to the tailpipe at a tailpipe projection, which is arranged on the tailpipe, by the bracket being deflected laterally in the circumferential direction of the tailpipe cover.
