Multi-function transmission crossmember
A vehicle is provided. The vehicle may include a vehicle floor that defines a transmission tunnel and a crossmember. The crossmember may include a pair of longitudinal beams disposed along and sandwiching sled runners to the floor. Crossbeams may extend from and span between the pair to define an inner periphery that extends below and surrounds an outer periphery of an oil pan. One or more of the crossbeams may cap a tunnel that is defined by the floor.
Vehicle and exhaust pipe support member
An exhaust pipe support member of a vehicle includes: an elastic support portion that has multiple insertion holes into which multiple hanger stays provided in an exhaust pipe are inserted; a metal frame that surrounds the elastic support portion; and multiple support legs that are arranged between the elastic support portion and the metal frame to support the elastic support portion.
Compact Selective Catalytic Reduction System
A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for treating exhaust gas from a diesel engine is provided, along with a method of assembling such a system. The system comprises a frame, a SCR catalyst contained within a SCR canister, and an ammonia oxidation catalyst contained within an ammonia oxidation canister. Each of the SCR and ammonia oxidation canisters is removably attached to the frame.
VEHICLE EXHAUST SYSTEM
A vehicle exhaust system includes a vehicle body structure, an exhaust system, a rear bumper assembly, an exhaust finisher and a boot. The exhaust assembly is supported to an underside of the vehicle body structure. The rear bumper assembly is also supported to the vehicle body structure. The exhaust finisher is non-movably attached to one of the vehicle body structure and the rear bumper assembly. The exhaust finisher extends at least part way through an opening of the rear bumper assembly. The boot has a first end, a second end, and a flexible portion. The first end is attached to a rear end of the exhaust assembly. The second end is attached to a forward end of the exhaust finisher and the flexible portion extends from the trout end to the second end. The flexible portion is elastically deformable in response to thermal expansion and contraction of the exhaust assembly.
Exhaust pipe support body
An exhaust pipe support body including: an attachment member configured to be attached to one of a vehicle body and an exhaust pipe; a center attachment part configured to be attached to another of the vehicle body and the exhaust pipe, the center attachment part having a vertical lengthwise dimension that is larger than a lateral widthwise dimension thereof and being arranged in an installation hole provided to the attachment member; and a plurality of connection arms elastically connecting the center attachment part to the attachment member, the connection arms being integrally formed with the center attachment part and remote from each other in a vertical lengthwise direction between opposed faces of each of left and right sides of the center attachment part and corresponding one of left and right side walls of the installation hole.
HANGER CLAMP ASSEMBLY
A hanger clamp assembly having hanger rods and a band clamp attached to a bracket. The hanger rods can be manufactured at specific lengths and with desired bends so as to be mounted to many different makes and models of internal combustion engine powered cars and trucks.
Vehicle rear structure
A vehicle rear portion includes a resin rear exterior member, a metal exhaust finisher, and a reinforcing block. The rear exterior member is provided at a rear portion of a vehicle body. The exhaust finisher is provided at a terminating end portion of an exhaust pipe. The reinforcing block is fixed to the exhaust finisher and attached to the rear exterior member. The reinforcing block has an upper side portion that straddles an upper side of the exhaust finisher in a vehicle width direction, an inner side portion that extends downward from an inner region of the upper side portion in the vehicle width direction, and an outer side portion that extends downward from an outer region of the upper side portion in the vehicle width direction.
Support Member and Catalyst Converter Support Structure
A support member includes: a pair of first support members provided to sandwich and support an attachment portion, one of the first support members being in contact with a vehicle side; and a second support member provided between the pair of first support members, formed separately from the first support members, and configured to support an inner peripheral side of a through hole. An attachment portion is provided at the other end portion of a plate spring member having one end portion fixed to a catalyst converter, and vibration applied to the catalyst converter is absorbed by elastic deformation of the plate spring member. Vibration in a thickness direction of the plate spring member is absorbed by elastic deformation of the first support members, and vibration in a longitudinal direction of the plate spring member is absorbed by elastic deformation of the second support member.
Support for exhaust stack
A support for an exhaust stack comprises a first bracket including a first base joining a first extension and a second extension, the first base being fixed to the vehicle, and a second bracket including a second base joining a third extension and a fourth extension, the second base being fixed to the exhaust stack. A member is disposed between the first base and the second base. The member has a first end and a second end. A first fastener is accepted by the first end and extends between the first extension and the second extension. A second fastener is accepted by the second end and extends between the third extension and the fourth extension.
EXHAUST GAS TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY FOR AN EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
An exhaust gas tailpipe assembly for an exhaust gas system of a motor vehicle, having at least one exhaust gas tailpipe, which is annularly surrounded by a tailpipe aperture assembly at an end facing away from the exhaust gas system. The tailpipe aperture assembly is at least partially fixedly connected to a body part of the motor vehicle and includes at least one aperture part, such that the tailpipe aperture assembly can be slid, when viewed longitudinally, onto the exhaust gas tailpipe in a crash event. The exhaust gas tailpipe is configured so as to be curved with at least two exhaust gas tailpipe parts, wherein a longitudinal axis of a second exhaust gas tailpipe part extends at an angle to a longitudinal axis of a first exhaust gas tailpipe part. The aperture part includes at least one deformation region in a circumferential region facing the exhaust gas tailpipe.
