Connector
A connector including: a first buffer member that includes a spiral-shaped wire in a plan view; a second buffer member that has a substantially annular and flat plate-like shape, and that is capable of warping in a thickness direction; a collar member that includes a cylindrical portion surrounded by the first buffer member and the second buffer member, a first flange facing a radially inner side of the first buffer member, and a second flange facing a radially inner side of the second buffer member; and a coupling member that includes a first holder section holding radially outer sides of the first buffer member and the second buffer member, a second holder section holding the shielding body, and a coupling member base portion.
Connection unit
A connection unit for connecting two exhaust gas-carrying assembly units of an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, includes a ring washer-shape connection element (26) with a connection side (42), which is to be positioned to face a counter-connection element (24) to be connected to the connection element (26) or/and in contact with the counter-connection element (24). A passage opening (28), bordered by an inner circumferential surface (36) of the connection element (26), receives a connection pipe (30), which is inserted into the passage opening (28) and extends in the direction of a pipe longitudinal axis (L). The connection pipe (30) is connected to the connection element (26) in the area of the inner circumferential surface (36) by welding, or/and the connection pipe (30) projects with a centering section (40) on the connection side (42) of the connection element (26).
FLEXIBLE U-BOLT ASSEMBLY
A flexible U-bolt assembly includes a clamping bracket including a receiver and a U-bolt including (a) a first end fixed to the clamping bracket, (b) a second end adapted for receipt in the receiver and (c) a flexible elongated body extending between the first end and the second end.
Compact selective catalytic reduction system
A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for treating exhaust gas from a diesel engine is provided, along with a method of assembling such a system. The system comprises a frame, a SCR catalyst contained within a SCR canister, and an ammonia oxidation catalyst contained within an ammonia oxidation canister. Each of the SCR and ammonia oxidation canisters is removably attached to the frame.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CONNECTION MEMBER
After an annular plate is blanked from a metal flat plate in a blanking step, an inner peripheral portion of the annular plate is deformed upward in a burring step. As a result, a hat-shaped intermediate product having an upstanding tubular portion and an annular plate portion is formed. After that, an outer peripheral portion of the annular plate portion is folded step by step toward an inner peripheral side of the annular plate portion. As a result, a folded portion composed of a first folded portion and a second folded portion is formed, whereby a connection portion having a second flange portion is formed.
Clamping apparatus and method of use thereof
Clamping apparatus is provided including clamp means for clamping two or more items together in use. The clamping means are arranged to move between a clamped and an unclamped position in use. Attachment means are provided on or associated with the clamping means for attaching one or more components to said clamping means in use. The components consist of any or any combination of one or more sensor means, one or more dispensing means or one or more electronic components. The clamping means includes at least one band member. The at least one band member forms an outer band and the attachment means are provided on or associated with at least an additional band member in the form of an inner band or segment that is provided with or associated with the outer band.
Component having a flange connection element
Disclosed is a component having a flange connection element connectable to a flange connection counterpart of another component by bolts and/or screws, the flange connection element comprising a contact surface to be pressed against a contact surface of the flange connection counterpart, whereby the contact surface of the flange connection element is formed such that it does not completely surround at least one of the bolts and/or screws. Alternatively or in addition, the flange connection element may have a recess in at least one of its side surfaces using the contact pressure in an edge part of the contact surface extending below the recess.
CONNECTION DEVICE FOR A TURBOCHARGER, AND TURBOCHARGER
A connection device for an exhaust gas turbocharger has a bent first element with a first tensioning arm at a first end. A second bent element has a second tensioning arm at a second end opposite the first end. A third end of the first element is formed opposite a fourth end of the second element. The first tensioning arm and the second tensioning arm are connectable by a first connecting element. The second end and the fourth end are movably connected with each other by a second connecting element. A transition is elastically formed between the respective tensioning arm and a supporting portion of the particular element, which extends between the tensioning arm and the third or fourth, respectively, end. The first element or the second element is formed in a profiled manner.
Fastening device for a shielding part, in particular for a heat shield, and shielding part having at least one fastening device
A fastening device for fastening a shielding part to a fastening partner in a vibration-decoupled manner having a collar bushing that has at least one bushing core and two collars that protrude outward in a radial direction (R) and are spaced apart from each other in an axial direction (A), with the collars forming an interstice between themselves and having a bridge element, which is positioned with its radially inner region in the interstice; and the bushing core extends through an opening of the bridge element with a radial play (s),
wherein a damping element is positioned in the axial direction (A) between the collars and in the radial direction (R) between the bushing core and a radial stop of the bridge element and is dimensioned so that the radial mobility of the bridge element relative to the bushing core is limited to an effective radial play (s′) that is reduced relative to the radial play (s).
Engine
An engine is provided with an engine body, a crankshaft, a cooling fan, an exhaust manifold, a supercharger, an ATD that purifies exhaust gas, and a second exhaust pipe. When the height direction of the engine is defined as a first direction, the crankshaft extends in a second direction vertical to the first direction. The cooling fan is disposed on one side of the engine body in the second direction. The supercharger is driven by the exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold. The second exhaust pipe connects the supercharger and the ATD. The ATD is disposed in an attitude in which the longitudinal direction thereof is parallel to the second direction. The second exhaust pipe is connected to the cooling fan side of the ATD in the second direction. The second exhaust pipe is disposed so as to pass laterally with respect to the exhaust manifold and below the supercharger.
