Breading and sifting station
A breading and sifting apparatus is disclosed. The breading and sifting apparatus may include a frame, a plate, and a breading lug adapter. The breading and sifting apparatus may be configured to accommodate work surface in a lowered position and in an elevated position, as well as in a left-handed configuration and a right-handed configuration.
In-line flavoring granular and powder conveyor system
A granular coating conveyor system for coating granular particles carried in compartments along a tubular conveyor member. Coating fluid is fed over the granular particles through radial nozzles located inside a co-axial rotating blender with tubular member upstream discharge port and tubular member downstream return ingress port for the granular particles. The blender is a drum having a helicoidal spiral screw integrally mounted to an interior peripheral wall face of the drum and extending therealong radially outwardly of the tubular member mixing in the drum in tumbling fashion the granular particles with coating fluid and guiding same therealong, so as to dynamically form a kidney shape mass of granular particles.

Dual-spray reduced sugar coating system and method
A system and method for applying a reduced sugar coating to a food product is provided. The system uses separate applications (simultaneous or sequential) of a non-sucrose carbohydrate syrup from a first applicator and a sucrose syrup from a second applicator. The dual applications of the syrups are applied without an active drying step between applications. The process results in a coated food product with reduced clumping and a desired crystallized appearance even with the reduced levels of sugar.

Multi-pan coating assembly for particulate material
A spray coating machine and process accommodates coating pans of various sizes and simplifies cleaning after particulate material in the pan is coated. A selected pan is supported on a trolley carried by a wheeled cart. After the cart is positioned adjacent the coating machine, the trolley and pan are extended into the machine, and then the pan lifted for support by a rotatable drive shaft and castors. The trolley is then removed from the machine, and the door is closed so that the coating process can commence. When coating is complete, the door is opened, and the trolley extended into the machine under the pan and raised for removal of the castors. Then, the trolley and pan are withdrawn from the machine. The trolley does not need cleaning after spraying, since the trolley is outside the machine during spraying of the coating solution.

System for Processing Foodstuff
A system for processing foodstuff includes a drum and a conveyor for conveying foodstuff to the drum; the drum having a peripheral wall and at least one opening into which, in use, foodstuff enters the drum; the drum having a proximal extremity and a distal extremity; the drum being rotatable about at least one axis of rotation; whereby foodstuff may be tumbled for flavouring and/or seasoning the foodstuff; and the drum being removable; wherein the peripheral wall includes titanium or a titanium alloy.

APPARATUS FOR COATING OR MIXING ITEMS WITH CONTROLLED UNLOADING
An apparatus for coating or mixing of loose items is provided. The apparatus includes a rotatable bowl shaped to contain a quantity of loose items for coating or mixing as the bowl is rotated. The rotatable bowl includes a plurality of discharge openings. A drive shaft is configured to rotatably support the bowl. A closure ring is positioned to close the discharge openings. The closure ring is retractable while the rotatable bowl is rotating to allow coated or mixed items to fall through the openings to unload the coated items from the rotatable bowl after coating/mixing is complete.
