This diesel engine comprises: an engine body part in which a cylinder head is fastened to an upper section of a cylinder block; a turbocharger; and an exhaust gas post-treatment device. A cooling fan is provided on the front side in the front-rear direction of the engine body part. The cylinder head is configured to have an exhaust side on the left side in the engine width direction, and an intake side on the right side. The exhaust gas post-treatment device is disposed above the cylinder head so as to extend in the engine front-rear direction. The turbocharger is disposed on the exhaust side of the cylinder head and is configured to spray compressed air in the engine front-rear direction.

Cooling air feeding apparatus for a motor vehicle

A cooling air feeding apparatus is for a motor vehicle, which has a motor vehicle body and a drive train, the drive train being assigned a cooler, and at least the cooler being arranged in a rear region of the motor vehicle body. The cooling air feeding apparatus has a throughflow opening, which is in the rear region and which is configured to receive air from surroundings of the motor vehicle and to feed the received air to the cooler. In order to regulate a driving state of the motor vehicle, the throughflow opening is configured with a variable throughflow cross section with the aid of a closing element, which is assigned to the cooling air feeding apparatus. The throughflow opening is configured to be controllably closed individually completely or partially and to be opened completely.

MACHINE SYSTEM HAVING COOLER WITH PACK SEAL AND HEADER ASSEMBLY FOR SAME

A machine system includes a compressor, and a cooler having an inlet tank to receive compressed air from the compressor, and a header assembly attached to the inlet tank and including a plurality of cooling tubes supported in the header and each having an external heat exchange surface exposed to a flow of cooling air. The cooler further includes a plurality of graphite pack seals each extending peripherally around one of the cooling tubes, and a clamping assembly clamping the pack seals against the header to squeeze the pack seals into sealing contact with the cooling tubes and the header.

Charge air cooler shroud with access panel

A charge air cooler shroud is provided. That charge air cooler shroud includes a main body having an access opening and a removable access panel carried on the main body and covering the access opening. A method is also disclosed for mounting a cooling module to a frame of a motor vehicle.

FUEL BYPASS SYSTEM FOR GASEOUS-FUELED ENGINE

A method of operating a forced induction gaseous-fueled engine includes mixing gaseous-fuel and engine intake air to form a mixture at a fuel mixer. The method includes delivering the mixture to an intake manifold by at least partially bypassing a charge air cooler.

Charge air cooler fan control

A work vehicle includes an engine, a compressor used to compress an air toward the engine, a charge air cooler, a sensor, and a control unit. The charge air cooler comprising or coupled to a fan. The fan can rotate in a first direction to remove a heat of the air and to rotate in a second direction reverse to the first direction so as to blow a debris. The control unit is electrically coupled to the engine and to the fan. The control unit predicts whether a temperature of the air exceeds a threshold based on a signal received from the sensor. When the temperature of the air is below the threshold, the fan can rotate in the second direction. When the temperature of the air is equal to or above the threshold, the fan is inhibited from rotating in the second direction.

Frame device and fan module with such a frame device

A frame device for a fan module for a main cooler and for a charge air cooler of a motor vehicle, comprising a main frame for the main cooler and a charge air cooler, separate from the latter, for the charge air cooler, wherein a seal is provided between the main frame and the charge air frame. Furthermore, the invention relates to a fan module with such a frame device.

Internal combustion engine cooling system

A cooling system for an internal combustion engine comprises a fluid circuit having an intercooler, a main cooler and a precooler. The intercooler is configured for receiving coolant and configured for heat exchange relation between the coolant and engine compressed air. The main cooler is configured for receiving the coolant from the intercooler and the internal combustion engine and configured for selectively delivering a first portion of the coolant from the main cooler to the precooler. The precooler is configured to deliver a flow of the coolant to the intercooler. The main cooler and the precooler are configured for cooling the coolant by heat exchange with at least one cooling flow.

RECIRCULATION SYSTEM FOR A POWER SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES A PLURALITY OF TURBOCHARGERS

A recirculation system for a power system is disclosed. The recirculation system may determine, according to a sequence for individually activating a plurality of turbochargers of an engine, that a designated turbocharger of the plurality of turbochargers is to be activated. The recirculation system may cause a recirculation valve of a recirculation line to open to increase an airflow between an intake manifold and a compressor of the designated turbocharger.

ENGINE INTAKE SYSTEM

In an engine compartment, a separation wall is provided between an intake pipe, which runs around to a rear side of the engine from a lateral side of the engine, and the engine. On an outer side of this separation wall, a travel wind guide having a vertical wall portion that opposes the separation wall with the intake pipe being therebetween is provided. The travel wind guide guides vehicle travel wind that is introduced into the engine compartment in a manner to cause the vehicle travel wind to flow along the intake pipe on the outer side of the separation wall.
