An engine system having an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus, the engine system including an engine including a plurality of combustion chambers that generates a driving power by combusting fuel, an intake line into which intake gas to be supplied into the combustion chamber flows, an exhaust line through which exhaust gas discharged from the combustion chamber flows, a turbocharger including a turbine provided in the exhaust line and rotated by exhaust gas discharged from the combustion chamber, and a compressor provided in the intake line and rotated in conjunction with the rotation of the turbine and compressing outside air, an EGR apparatus including an EGR line that branches off from the exhaust line at a rear end of the turbocharger and merges into the intake line, and an EGR cooler disposed in the EGR line for cooling exhaust gas flowing through the EGR line, a waste gate valve installed in an exhaust bypass line, which branches off from a front end of the turbine and merges into a rear end of the turbine, and adjusts an amount of exhaust gas flowing into the turbine, and a recirculation valve installed in an intake bypass line, which branches off the intake line at a front end of the engine and merges into the intake line at a front end of the compressor, and supplies a part of the intake gas, which is compressed by the turbocharger, into the intake line at the front end of the compressor.

Engine and emissions control system

A system for coordinated control of an engine and associated components over various engine-modes of operation. The system may include an engine, one or more components controllable to adjust operation of the diesel engine, and a system controller. The system controller may be connected to the engine and the one or more components. The system controller may include a supervisory controller and one or more component controllers. The supervisory controller may receive system control variable set points and coordinate component control variable set points for the components to achieve the system control variable set points. The component controllers may control operation of the components to achieve the control variable set points for the components by setting manipulated variable set points for the components based on the component control variable set points and a model based non-linear dynamic inversion.

A turbocharger actuator arrangement for a turbocharger includes a movable actuator operating lever, a control rod, and a wave spring. More specifically, the control rod is couplable to a setting element of the turbocharger and is connected to the actuator operating lever by means of a bolt such that the control rod is arranged to be rotatable relative to the actuator operating lever. The bolt extends from the actuator operating lever through an opening in an end region of the control rod and through the wave spring. As such, the control rod and the wave spring are arranged between the actuator operating lever and a bolt securing means, which is arranged at an end region of the bolt that is averted from the actuator operating lever.

Methods and apparatuses for connecting multiple loads with a common return pin in engine control module application are disclosed. Only one of the multiple loads can be connected to a power source at a time. At the high side, each load is coupled to the power source through a respective pin at a connector. At the low side, the multiple loads share a common return pin at the connector that connects the loads to the ground. When a first load is connected to the power source at the high side, a first low side driver circuit is used to connect the first load to the ground at the low side. When a second load is connected to the power source at the high side, the second low side driver circuit is used to connect the second load to the ground at the low side.
