The present invention discloses compositions and edible orally delivered products, such as candies, beverages, nutritional bars and dietary supplements that increase bone growth and treat age-related bone loss in humans. The major component of the invention is biological calcium which is derived from natural eggshell powder. The compositions also include organic honey and lemon.
AERATED CONFECTIONARIES COMPRISING SHELF-STABLE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
In one embodiment, a confectionary comprises at least one sweetener, at least one stabilizer, at least one emulsifier, water, a first active ingredient, and an enrobing layer. The water may comprise 2 to 20 wt. % of the confectionary. The confectionary may have a water activity of from 0.45 to 0.65. The confectionary may be aerated such that the density of the confectionary is 0.7 to 1.25 grams per cubic centimeter. The confectionary may have a pH of 5.0 to 8.0.
CAFFEINATED GUMMIES
Described herein are gummy compositions and products. In one aspect the gummy compositions include: (I) one or more gelating agents; (II) at least one fruit juice and/or fruit extract; and (III) 0.15-2 wt % caffeine.
In a further aspect the invention provides a gummy composition comprising: (I) one or more gelating agents; (II) at least one fruit juice and/or fruit extract; (III) at least one vitamin; and (IV) 0.15-2 wt % caffeine.
Also described herein are gummy products composed of the gummy compositions as well as methods of making and using the gummy compositions.
Gel-like composition having high ubiquinol content
This invention relates to a gel-like composition in which ubiquinol is dispersed and stabilized in a gel and which contains 0.2 to 5% by weight of ubiquinol, 5 to 15% by weight of gelatin, 55 to 80% by weight of carbohydrate and/or water-soluble dietary fiber, and 9 to 18% by weight of water, and further contains ascorbic acid and/or gallate type catechin.
HIGH MOISTURE EDIBLE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF PREPARATION THEREOF
The present invention is direct to an edible composition in which fruit, vegetables and/or nuts, in conjunction with a hydrocolloid, are treated with pressure and/or heat to form an edible composition that is dimensionally stable, ambient stable for at least 12 months, has a moisture content greater than 50 wt. %, has a pH less than 4.5, has a water activity greater than 0.5, is commercially sterile, is free of artificial flavors, has a solids content greater than 10 wt. %, and does not exhibit syneresis. Also provided is a method for preparation of the edible composition.
CANNABINOID AND SUGAR ALCOHOL COMPLEX, METHODS TO MAKE AND USE
The present invention generally relates to a sugar alcohol and cannabinoid complex, and methods to prepare this complex from cannabinoid oil comprising at least one cannabinoid. The complex is in solid form and may be used in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic formulations, and medical devices wherein solid forms of cannabinoid are desirable. This complex also enhances release of active cannabinoids in oral consumption. Methods to make this complex are also disclosed.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING CONFECTION WITH REDUCED AFTERTASTE
A method for producing a gummy confectionary containing an active ingredient with alternatives to the use of gelatin as a gelling agent. In an embodiment, the active ingredient is cannabidiol (CBD), and the gelling agent is a mixture of plant-based gums and polysaccharides. The method of production comprises the heated activation of the gelling agents in the presence of water and sucrose before adding a sweetener mixture comprising tapioca syrup and sucrose. The active ingredient is introduced as an emulsion of fractionated coconut oil, flavoring, lecithin, and CBD in water. The resultant mixture is colored, and pH adjusted before being molded into the desired shape. The perceived bitterness associated with the use of CBD in a confectionary may be measurably reduced from conventional gelatin and or pectin based confectionary.
Reduction of viral disease transmission by avian antibodies
Formulations of egg powders with avian antibodies that act as mucosal protectants are provided. The formulations are effective for protecting the mucosal membranes in the pharyngeal area of an individual from viral infections. Formulations effective for reducing infections of SARS-CoV-2 in individuals are provided. Formulations are also effective for reducing transmission of viral disease. The formulations are tablets, candies, gummies, throat lozenges, and powders for administering to the pharyngeal area. Methods for administering the formulations for reducing viral disease such as Covid-19 are disclosed.

The organic acid is a monoester of a dicarboxylic acid or is a carotenoid derivative having one or more carboxylic acids.
