Throttle valve assembly
A throttle valve assembly is disclosed having a throttle valve mounted within a throttle body to vary the flow of air therethrough. The throttle valve comprises of first and second throttle plates that interact with one another so as to be configurable in a V-shape thereby forming a converging/diverging flow path through part of the throttle body in which the flow of air through the throttle body is restricted and in flat aligned configuration which is minimally intrusive so as to produce substantially no restriction to flow through the throttle body is produced by the throttle valve.
Supercharger with exhaust gas recirculation

The engine having an intake, and a blower with at least one impeller in the intake mounted on a rotatable shaft. An EGR line opens into the intake system upstream of the at least one impeller to form a junction point. A flap, pivotable about an axis running transversely with respect to the intake air flow, has: a first position which blocks the intake by way of a front side, and which opens up the EGR line; and a second position to cover the EGR line and open intake system wherein the flap is not planar, and has, at least on the front side thereof, at least one deformation as an unevenness.
REGULATING DEVICE FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A regulating device for an internal combustion engine includes a housing in which is formed an exhaust gas recirculation pipe which opens into an intake pipe, and a regulating element eccentrically mounted on a shaft. The regulating element includes a first surface, a second surface, and guide ribs arranged on the second surface so that an exhaust gas flow flows into the intake pipe when the exhaust gas recirculation pipe is opened. In a first end position of the regulating element, where the intake pipe is at throttled upstream of an opening of the exhaust gas recirculation pipe, a normal vector of the first surface points to an upstream side of the intake pipe. In a second end position of the regulating element, where the exhaust gas recirculation pipe is closed, a normal vector of the second surface points to the exhaust gas recirculation pipe.
REGULATING DEVICE FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A regulating device for an internal combustion engine includes an exhaust gas recirculation pipe which opens into an intake pipe which are both formed in a housing, and a regulating element eccentrically mounted on a shaft. The shaft is arranged perpendicular to a center line of the intake pipe and the exhaust gas recirculation pipe. The regulating element includes a first surface, a second surface, and guide ribs arranged on the first surface. In a first end position of the regulating element, in which the intake pipe is at least throttled upstream of an opening of the exhaust gas recirculation pipe, a normal vector of the first surface points to an upstream side of the intake pipe. In a second end position of the regulating element, in which the exhaust gas recirculation pipe is closed, a normal vector of the second surface points to the exhaust gas recirculation pipe.
Element of an exhaust line comprising valve with added stoppers
An exhaust line element comprises a valve body, a shutter, a pivot link connecting the shutter to the valve body, an upstream tube, and a downstream tube. At least one first stopper is attached on an inner surface of the valve body. The shutter abuts against the first stopper in the closing off position. The first stopper defines a longitudinal position of at least one of the upstream tube and the downstream tube relative to the valve body.
AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND A METHOD COMPRISING CONTROL OF THE ENGINE TO PROVIDE A BRAKING TORQUE
An internal combustion engine is provided including a cylinder including a piston connected to a rotatable crankshaft, an exhaust guide being arranged to guide a gas flow from the cylinder, an adjustable flow restriction element arranged to restrict the flow through the exhaust guide, an exhaust valve arranged to control a communication between the cylinder and the exhaust guide, and an exhaust valve actuation assembly for actuating the exhaust valve so as to perform in each of a plurality of cycles of the cylinder an exhaust valve actuation sequence, wherein the exhaust valve actuation assembly is adapted to control the commencement of the exhaust valve actuation sequence to occur selectively at any crankshaft angle within a non-zero crankshaft angle interval.
Flap device for an internal combustion engine
A flap device for an internal combustion engine includes a flow housing which delimits a flow duct, a shaft which rotates and which is supported on one side thereof, a flap body attached to the shaft in the flow duct, an actuator which rotates the shaft and thereby the flap body, an actuator housing having the actuator arranged therein, a first bearing seat formed on the flow housing, a first bearing arranged in the first bearing seat to radially surround the shaft, a second bearing, a chamber which surround the shaft, and a bore arranged to open into the flow duct from the chamber. The shaft protrudes into the actuator housing. The shaft is supported on the one side via the first bearing and via the second bearing. The chamber from which the bore opens into the flow duct is arranged between the first bearing and the second bearing.
Bidirectional Control One Piece Disc-Stem
The disclosure relates to a unitary disc-stem apparatus for a valve, which has a disc defining a circumference around the disc; a first hub integral to the disc; a second hub integral to the disc; a first stem portion joining the disc at the first hub and a second stem portion joining to the disc at the second hub; a curved extended edge which is transposed on opposite sides of the disc, wherein the curved extended edge is progressively longer moving circumferentially away from the first hub and the second hub along the circumference of the disc, and longest at a position where the opposite curved extended edges of the disc are along an axis perpendicular to the first stem portion and the second stem portion.
Filtering system and a gas flow control device
