ACTUATOR PROVIDED WITH AN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD SCREENING DEVICE FOR MAGNETIC OR MAGNETO-RESISTIVE POSITION SENSORS
An actuator comprising a main body which delimits a kinematic chamber inside which a valve and/or a relative drive mechanism of the valve is at least partially housed, a closing lid that can be associated to close the kinematic chamber of the main body, wherein the throttle body contains a position sensor, of the magnetic or magneto-resistive type, facing a slider of the valve and/or a component of the drive mechanism so as to read the position of the slider and therefore of the relative valve and/or of the relative component of the drive mechanism. Advantageously, the closing lid is provided with a screening device of electromagnetic fields for the position sensor and the slider, positioned near the position sensor, on the side opposite the kinematic chamber with respect to the position sensor.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CLOSE-IN-BORE LEARNING FOR A HYBRID VEHICLE
Systems and methods for performing closed-in-bore diagnostics for a hybrid vehicle are presented. In one example, select operating conditions may be evaluated before closed-in-bore diagnostics may be initiated. In addition, charging of one or more batteries may be reduced to ensure that an engine throttle may operate with a small opening amount to evaluate the presence or absence of sludge in the engine throttle.

Control device for internal combustion engine and control method for internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine includes an intake passage of the internal combustion engine, an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine, and an EGR passage connecting the intake passage and the exhaust passage. The internal combustion engine further includes a throttle valve provided downstream of a connected part to the EGR passage in the intake passage, and configured to control an intake air quantity toward a downstream side of the connected part, and an intake throttle valve provided upstream of the connected part to the EGR passage in the intake passage. In a control device of the internal combustion engine, an opening degree of the intake throttle valve is determined on the basis of an opening degree of the throttle valve.
METHOD TO EVALUATE THE INSTANTANEOUS FUEL TO TORQUE ICE EFFICIENCY STATUS
A method of determining combustion efficiency in an engine includes utilizing a control module having a computer memory, a processor, and inputs and outputs, the processor executing logic stored within the memory, sensing data by first sensors disposed on the engine and second sensors disposed in an exhaust system fluidly coupled to the engine, the first and second sensors electrically connected to the inputs, receiving within the control module data sensed by the first and the second sensors; determining an oxygen content of air entering the engine, determining an oxygen content of exhaust upstream of an oxidation catalyst; determining a fuel latent heat of vaporization; determining a fuel injection quantity to combust with oxygen entering the engine; determining a combustion efficiency index based on the oxygen content of air entering the engine and in the exhaust, and the latent heat of vaporization of fuel; and adjusting a fuel injection quantity.
THROTTLE VALVE WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF ADJUSTING AN INTERMEDIATE POSITION OF PARTIAL OPENING AND RELATIVE METHOD TO ADJUST THE INTERMEDIATE POSITION
A throttle valve having: a valve body; an intake duct obtained in the valve body; a throttle plate arranged in the intake duct; a shaft mounted so as to rotate, supporting the throttle plate; an electric motor; a gear transmission, which couples the electric motor to the shaft and has an end gear which is integral with the shaft; a return spring, which is designed to rotate the throttle plate towards a closing position; a striking element, which is obtained in the valve body and establishes an intermediate position of partial opening; and a countering spring, mounted on the end gear, which is designed to rotate the throttle plate towards the intermediate position and has one end which is designed to rest against the striking element during the rotation of the end gear.
THROTTLE DEVICE
A throttle device, including: a throttle valve (13) disposed in a plurality of intake passages (12) of a throttle body (11); a throttle shaft (14) supporting the throttle valve (13); a motor (15) for driving the throttle valve (13) to open and close through the throttle shaft (14); a rotation transmission mechanism (20) interposed between the motor (15) and the throttle shaft (14); and a position sensor to detect a displacement in the rotation transmission mechanism (20). The rotation transmission mechanism (20) is disposed at a position where the first and the second throttle bodies (11f, 11s) are adjacent, the motor (15) is disposed within an installation width Ws of either one of the first and the second throttle bodies (11f, 11s), and the throttle opening degree sensor (30) is disposed within an installation width Wt of the other one of the first and the second throttle bodies (11f, 11s).
ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENGINES
A system includes an electronic fuel injection system of an engine, the electronic fuel injection system including an electronic governor control unit for controlling various functions of the engine.
Onboard electronic control unit
A downlink communication data DND from a main control circuit section to a combination control circuit section is divided into first and second downlink data, high-speed communication using a downlink clock signal and a transmission start instruction signal is performed, a high-speed load which has been directly driven from the main control circuit section is indirectly driven at high speed from the combination control circuit section by the first downlink data, a low-speed analog input signal ANL which has been indirectly inputted to the combination control circuit section is inputted to a specific input channel of a multi-channel converter through an indirect multiplexer, and channel selection is made by the downlink communication data.
EFI THROTTLE BODY WITH SIDE FUEL INJECTORS
An electronic fuel injection throttle body unit has a core body with two side components. The two side components each including a fuel delivery passage. Four air intake passages extending vertically through the throttle body. Valves are rotatable within the air intake passages. The valves being connected to valve shafts that rotate about respective valve shaft axes. The valve shaft axes and the fuel delivery passages are perpendicular to each other.
