A valve includes a valve body having an exhaust gas inlet and an exhaust gas outlet, the valve body defining an exhaust gas circulation passage between the exhaust gas inlet and the exhaust gas outlet. A flap is arranged in the valve body and a shaft drives the flap in rotation with respect to the valve body. At least one guide bearing guides the drive shaft of the flap for rotation relative to the valve body. The guide bearing is engaged through an orifice of the valve body, with an inner end of the guide bearing being located inside the valve body. A first tube is engaged in one of the exhaust gas inlet and exhaust gas outlet and abuts against the inner end of the guide bearing.

Alignment system for slotted snap-action valve assembly for exhaust system

A snap-action valve assembly for an exhaust system and a method for manufacturing the same is provided. The valve assembly includes a first conduit and a second conduit that is partially received in the first conduit. A valve flap is disposed within the first conduit for controlling exhaust flow. A shaft supports the valve flap in the first conduit for rotation between open and closed positions. The first conduit has first and second slots, each extending from an open slot end to a closed slot end. First and second bushings subassemblies supporting the shaft are disposed within the slots between the second conduit and the closed slot ends. Each of the first and second bushing subassemblies includes an alignment system in the form of protrusions that limit insertion of the first and second bushing subassemblies into the first and second slot to a single orientation.

THROTTLE VALVE HOUSING FOR A THROTTLE VALVE ARRANGEMENT FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A throttle valve housing (1) for a throttle valve arrangement for an internal combustion engine, wherein the throttle valve housing (1) is used to accommodate a pivotally mounted throttle valve and provides movement space for the throttle valve, wherein the throttle valve housing (1) has an inflow opening (2) on a first side for receiving a fluid and the throttle valve housing (1) has an outflow opening (3) on a second side for discharging a fluid, and wherein at least one sealing piece (4) projecting into the flow cross-section is arranged in the movement space of the throttle valve housing (1) and is used as a stop for the throttle valve in the closed position. Improved sealing characteristics are achieved in that the sealing piece (4) is formed in the wall of the throttle valve housing (1) in a non-cutting manner.

Opening/closing valve structure

An opening/closing valve structure for an engine is provided with a valve body for opening and closing an intake passage or an exhaust passage of the engine; a pair of bush members mounted on axial ends of the valve body; and a shaft member axially passing through one of the bush members and projecting from the bush member by a predetermined length within one end of the valve body. Each of the bush members is mounted in such a manner that a part of the bush member is axially received in an end of the valve body and the remaining part thereof axially projects from the end of the valve body. A portion of the shaft member projecting from the one of the bush members is connected to the valve body in such a manner that relative rotation of the shaft member with respect to the valve body is disabled.

THROTTLE BODY OR ACTUATOR, IN PARTICULAR FOR SUPPLYING HIGH PRESSURE GAS, PROVIDED WITH VENT
20190264816 · 2019-08-29 ·

A throttle body or actuator for an engine, comprising a main body which defines at least one supply duct having a through lumen for a gas mixture, a choke valve placed inside said supply duct so as to modify said through lumen. The choke valve is provided with an occluding body connected to a control shaft, at least partially housed in a seat in the main body. This valve device includes a body having passages and valve shaft holes, a valve shaft passed through the valve shaft holes in a rotatable manner, and butterfly valves. The butterfly valves include first contour parts and second contour parts forming outer contour parts that are smaller than the first contour parts. The first and second contour parts are fixed to the valve shaft in order to close off the passages at positions set apart from the valve shaft holes toward the downstream side (upstream side) of the passages, and are disposed flanking a straight line parallel to the valve shaft to form prescribed outer contour parts. The body includes first seal parts with which the first contour parts are brought into contact and second seal parts with which the second contour parts are brought into contact within the passages. Fluid leakage in a closed state can thereby be reliably prevented.
