SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING REDUNDANT PULSE-WIDTH MODULATION (PWM) THROTTLE CONTROL
Systems and methods are provided for providing redundant pulse-width modulation (PWM) throttle control. The system includes a manual throttle controller configured to generate a manual PWM throttle control signal, and an automated throttle control system. The automated throttle control system includes a plurality of automated throttle controllers, each of which being configured to independently control a throttle of a vehicle, and each including a processor configured to generate and output an automated PWM throttle control signal, a first double pole double throw (DPDT) relay that, when engaged, is configured to receive and output the manual PWM throttle control signal, and a second DPDT relay, configured to receive and output the automated PWM throttle control signal to an engine, when the second DPDT relay is engaged; and receive and output the manual PWM throttle control signal to the engine, when the DPDT relay is disengaged.
Surgical staple cartridge including tissue supporting surfaces
A surgical stapler including an anvil, a staple cartridge, and a buttress material removably retained to the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In various embodiments, the staple cartridge can include at least one staple removably stored therein which can, when deployed, or fired, therefrom, contact the buttress material and remove the buttress material from the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In at least one embodiment, the anvil can include at least one lip and/or groove configured to removably retain the buttress material to the anvil until deformable members extending from the surgical staple are bent by the anvil and are directed toward and contact the buttress material.
Throttle filter system and method
A method of filtering a targeted frequency from a pedal input signal is provided. The method includes the steps of sampling the pedal input signal at a sampling frequency, calculating a moving average of the pedal input signal from samples of the pedal input signal, and outputting a filtered signal based on the moving average. A throttle filter system is also provided. The system includes a pedal configured to be actuated to set a desired acceleration of a vehicle, a position sensor configured to convert a position of the pedal into an electrical signal, a vehicle driveline configured to accelerate the vehicle, and a filtering module configured to accept the electrical signal from the position sensor and to filter the electrical signal to remove oscillations at a targeted frequency. In the system, the driveline accelerates the vehicle based on the filtered electrical signal.
Vehicle operation system and method
A snowmobile includes a frame with a tunnel, a fuel tank disposed thereon and an engine connected thereto. A throttle body fluidly communicates with the engine. A throttle valve is disposed in the throttle body for regulating fluid flow through the throttle body into the engine, a position of the throttle valve being movable between an open position and a closed position. A throttle operator connected to the frame to control the position of throttle valve is moveable between an idle position and a drive position. A throttle valve actuator operatively connected to the throttle valve and the throttle operator controls a position of the throttle valve based at least in part on the throttle operator position, the throttle valve actuator being an electric throttle valve actuator and disposed longitudinally between the fuel tank and the engine. Vehicles and methods of operating the vehicles are also disclosed.

Systems and methods are provided for providing redundant pulse-width modulation (PWM) throttle control. The system includes a manual throttle controller configured to generate a manual PWM throttle control signal, and an automated throttle control system. The automated throttle control system includes a plurality of automated throttle controllers, each of which being configured to independently control a throttle of a vehicle, and each including a processor configured to generate and output an automated PWM throttle control signal, a first double pole double throw (DPDT) relay that, when engaged, is configured to receive and output the manual PWM throttle control signal, and a second DPDT relay, configured to receive and output the automated PWM throttle control signal to an engine, when the second DPDT relay is engaged; and receive and output the manual PWM throttle control signal to the engine, when the DPDT relay is disengaged.
GEARED MOTOR UNIT HAVING A POSITION SENSOR SURROUNDING THE OUTPUT GEAR
The disclosure presents a geared motor unit including a housing having an electric motor formed of a coiled stator assembly and of a magnetized rotor, the housing further including a printed circuit board for connecting and controlling the motor, a movement-reducing gear train, a sensor magnet and a magnetosensitive probe. The gear train includes a toothed movement output gear, the sensor magnet being ring-shaped and being rigidly connected to the output gear. An output gear is extended on either side of the sensor magnet by two guides cooperating with the two opposite walls of the housing; a ring-shaped magnet surrounds the axis of rotation of the output gear; a printed circuit board includes a controller controlling the motor and extends up to the vicinity of the output gear. The printed circuit board includes, in the area located in the vicinity of the output gear, the magnetosensitive probe which is connected directly, electrically and mechanically, to the area and is located axially or radially facing a ring-shaped magnet.

Control apparatus for internal combustion engine suppressing white smoke emissions
A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided. The control apparatus includes a temperature sensor and an electronic control unit. The temperature sensor is configured to detect the temperature of an exhaust gas control apparatus. The electronic control unit is configured to: estimate a sulfuric compound accumulation amount on the exhaust gas control apparatus; and when a specific condition in which the sulfuric compound accumulation amount is equal to or larger than a predetermined accumulation amount and the temperature of the exhaust gas control apparatus is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature or more is satisfied, control an intake air amount adjuster such that an intake air amount when the specific condition is satisfied is increased as compared to the intake air amount when the specific condition is not satisfied in the same operation state.

An object is to provide a type of device capable of properly cooling a bearing of a throttle body even under a condition that the throttle body receives heat of high-temperature intake air or exhaust gas. In the present invention, an engine coolant passage that guides a coolant of an engine is provided integrally with a member fixing a bearing to be adjacent to a circumferential wall of the bearing of the member fixing the bearing, which supports a throttle shaft, and heat transferred from the bearing (or likely to be transferred to the bearing) via the member fixing the bearing is carried away to the outside of a throttle body by the engine coolant.
