ENGINE DRIVE SYSTEM
20210010435 · 2021-01-14 ·

Disclosed is an engine drive system that uses an open-type regulator as a regulator that rectifies an output and adjusts a voltage of a magneto AC generator driven by an engine. A means is provided that performs a process of increasing an opening degree of an ISC valve for a limited amount of time when a load of the generator is applied, while the engine is idling. Temporarily increasing an output torque of the engine prevents a rotational speed of the engine from dramatically decreasing, or the engine from stalling, during idling.

A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A TURBOCHARGER SYSTEM FOR A COMBUSTION ENGINE AND A TURBOCHARGER SYSTEM FOR USE TOGETHER WITH A COMBUSTION ENGINE

The invention relates to a method for controlling a turbocharger system (10) fluidly connected to an exhaust manifold (102) of a combustion engine (100). The turbocharger system (10) comprises a turbocharger turbine (22) operable by exhaust gases from said exhaust manifold, and a tank (40) with pressurized gas, said tank being fluidly connectable to said turbocharger turbine. The method comprises the steps of: determining an engine operational mode in which the combustion engine runs below a predetermined speed, determining an external load requiring engine torque which at said engine operational mode would cause the combustion engine to stall, and subsequently injecting pressurized gas from said tank to drive said turbocharger turbine such that the turbocharger turbine is at least partly driven by said pressurized gas, thereby preventing stalling of the combustion engine.

HYBRID VEHICLE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

A vehicle includes an engine including a forced induction device, a knock sensor and a crank angle sensor that detect an occurrence of LSPI, a battery that supplies electric power to a second motor generator, and an ECU. When an occurrence of the LSPI is detected, the ECU restricts a maximum torque, which can be output by the engine with the forced induction device, more than when an occurrence of the LSPI is not detected to prevent an engine operating point from being included in an LSPI area, and when an output of the engine becomes insufficient along with the restriction on the maximum torque, the engine compensates for an amount of the insufficient output with electric power supplied from the battery.

A method and apparatus, for treating plaque and calculus in the mouth cavityparticularly on teethare disclosed. The apparatusand accordingly the methodis comprised of introducing at least one first-component comprising a material with a redox potential for preventing anions precipitation; and introducing at least one second-component comprising a material with a redox potential for preventing cations precipitation.

GENERATOR DRIVEN BY ENGINE

When an acceptance unit accepts an advance notice, a control unit, controls inflow amount of the air, an air fuel ratio derived from an injection amount of a fuel, and an advance of an ignition timing of an ignition device to temporarily increase a power that can be supplied by a generator. The control unit is determines whether a margin of an opening of a throttle is not less than a predetermined threshold. If the margin of the opening of the throttle is less than the predetermined threshold, the control unit inhibits a temporarily increase of the power. If the margin of the opening of the throttle is not less than the predetermined threshold, the control unit permits the temporarily increase of the power.

POWERPLANT AND RELATED CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD

A hydrogen fueled powerplant including an internal combustion engine that drives a motor-generator, and has a two-stage turbocharger, for an aircraft. A control system controls the operation of the motor-generator to maintain the engine at a speed selected based on controlling the engine equivalence ratio. The control system controls an afterburner, an intercooler and an aftercooler to maximize powerplant efficiency. The afterburner also adds power to the turbochargers during high-altitude restarts. The turbochargers also include motor-generators that extract excess power from the exhaust.

Method of Controlling Vacuum Pressure for Vehicle Braking

A method of controlling vacuum pressure for vehicle braking may include checking whether a vehicle is idle or enters a deceleration state, comparing an engine vacuum pressure and a booster vacuum pressure of the vehicle with a preset reference value, checking whether a valve control system of the vehicle is operable when the engine vacuum pressure and the booster vacuum pressure are lower less than the preset reference value, controlling the valve control system when the valve control system is operable; and controlling an air conditioner (A/C) or an alternator of the vehicle when the valve control system is inoperable.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING A THROTTLE SIGNAL

A system for controlling a throttle signal, as well as methods of assembling the same, is provided. Controlling the throttle signal includes activating a supply of power to an electronic control unit (ECU). A first throttle signal associated with a throttle position signal of a vehicle throttle is communicated. An initial gear state of the vehicle is determined. Based on the initial gear state of the vehicle, a modified throttle signal to the ECU is communicated in response to receiving a command signal. Based on determining a change in the gear state of the vehicle, terminating the communication of the modified throttle signal. A second throttle signal that is associated with a second throttle position signal of the vehicle throttle is communicated.

Methods and systems are provided for improving fuel economy by opportunistically lowering engine idle speed below a base idle speed when electrical loads are not present. A hydraulic brake pressure is increased when the idle speed is raised, in anticipation of vehicle propulsion. The brake pressure counteracts any creep torque and unintended vehicle acceleration resulting from the rising engine idle speed.
