Hybrid electric vehicle
When the vehicle is stopped and removal of deposits is not required, and forced charging of a power storage device is not being performed, the controller controls the fuel supply device so that a supply fuel pressure is at the first fuel pressure. When the vehicle is stopped and the removal of deposits is required, and the forced charging of the power storage device is being performed, the controller controls the fuel supply device so that the supply fuel pressure is at a second fuel pressure higher than the first fuel pressure. When the vehicle is stopped and the removal of deposits is required, and the forced charging of the power storage device is not being performed, the controller controls the fuel supply device so that the supply fuel pressure is at a third fuel pressure higher than the first fuel pressure and lower than the second fuel pressure.
VEHICLE FOR AGRICULTURAL USE COMPRISING A DETECTION SYSTEM
A vehicle for agricultural use has wheel groups, an engine group, an engine control unit, auxiliary operating groups, a gearbox group, a power take-off group, and a detection system having an engine power detector for detecting an engine power value, an auxiliary power detector for detecting an auxiliary power value, a drive power detector for detecting a drive power value, and an operating unit operatively connected to the detectors to receive the engine power value, auxiliary power value, and drive power value and suitable for identifying a take-off power value corresponding to power used by the power take-off group. The operating unit checks the drive power value with respect to a drive threshold value and/or the power take-off power value with respect to a power take-off threshold value and is connected to the engine control unit to control supply of the engine group as a function of check results.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AN INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A DIESEL GENERATING SET
An integrated control system and method which improves load application/rejection performance for diesel generating sets is disclosed. Feedback-linearizing control is used for voltage regulation, which removes interaction between automatic voltage regulation and speed regulation. A proper feed-forward signal is sent to the governor using load anticipation control. The integrated control reduces engine speed and voltage deviations. It is implemented in the voltage regulator, since it recognizes load changes before the engine. The integrated control helps the engine anticipate throttle adjustments in advance of load being recognized by the engine. Test results show an improvement in engine speed recovery after a large increase or decrease in load.
Emissions control systems and methods
Methods and systems are provided related to an emissions control system. The emissions control system has an exhaust after-treatment system defining a plurality of distinct exhaust flow passages through which at least a portion of an exhaust stream can flow, e.g., the exhaust stream is produced by an engine. The emissions control system also includes a controller for controlling injection of reductant into the exhaust stream flowing through each of the flow passages. In one example, the emissions control system is configured for use in a vehicle, such as a locomotive or other rail vehicle.

METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR ADJUSTING ENGINE TORQUE
Methods and systems are provided for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle that includes an internal combustion engine, an electric machine, and a transmission are described. In one example, values of an engine spark to engine torque relationship are adjusted to improve engine torque control. The engine is subsequently operated responsive to adjusted values of the engine spark to engine torque relationship.
APPARATUS FOR ACTIVE ENGINE IDLE CONTROL
In an approach to active engine idle control, an apparatus comprises: an accelerator module interface; an engine control module (ECM) interface; a computer readable storage media; and a controller. The controller is configured to: determine an engine speed target for a vehicle engine in revolutions per minute (RPM) based on an electrical load on the vehicle; determine a voltage curve for one or more position sensors of an accelerator module in the vehicle; determine a voltage target for the ECM for each position sensor of the one or more position sensors; and responsive to a first signal that the apparatus is engaged and a second signal that the vehicle is stopped, set an input voltage to the ECM at the voltage target for each of the one or more position sensors.
Vehicle traveling control method and vehicle traveling control device
A vehicle traveling control method includes starting, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, inertial traveling during which a vehicle travels while stopping fuel supply to an engine of the vehicle, measuring, from a start of the inertial traveling, a temperature decrease amount occurring in a heat exchanger for heating a cabin of the vehicle with heat generated by the engine, and stopping the inertial traveling when the temperature decrease amount is greater than a threshold.
Method and controller for engine torque control in a vehicle during a default throttle condition
A method for controlling engine torque in a vehicle during a default throttle condition includes determining whether a throttle of the engine is in a default throttle condition, determining whether the engine is producing more torque than desired if the throttle of the engine is in the default throttle condition, and applying an accessory load to the engine if the engine is producing more torque than desired in the default throttle condition.
System and method for identifying a potential engine stall and controlling a powertrain system to prevent an engine stall
A system according to the principles of the present disclosure includes an engine stall module and an actuator control module. The engine stall module identifies a potential engine stall based on a speed of an engine and a rate of change in the engine speed. The actuator control module selectively adjusts an actuator of a powertrain system to prevent the engine from stalling when a potential engine stall is identified.
